WurmBarbecue - The BBQ plugin
WurmBarbecue - The BBQ plugin
Don't feel like a barbecue king while waiting in front of your furnace?
WurmBarbecue enables you to cook raw food like meat or melt ores on BBQ grills. The plugin only demands very little server resources and brings lots of fun. Say bye bye to furnaces!
Setup
A BBQ place is simply made up of a stone half slab or wooden/iron trapdoor above any block on fire. The fire must be directly under the surface block. All block structures build like this will be recognized as BBQ places and will fully work!
+ + = BBQ
Now simply drop your raw items onto the surface of the grill with the q button and watch them cook. You can also right-click the BBQ surface with the item you want to cook in your hand. This will place one item on the grill surface! Hold shift + right-click to place the whole stack on the grill.

If you want to add own recipes manually:

- Set "Recipe Type" to 0 if its a food recipe, otherwise set it to 1
- Adjust the rest of the values as explained above
What will be implemented in the next version(s)?
- BBQ places can be enabled to burn out (can be set to on/off) so you need to place coal on them to keep them running
- Multi-recipes: You can create own recipes consisting out of several sub-recipes. Your users can then e.g. cook a golden apple by placing 1 normal apple + 3 gold nuggets on the grill at the same time :)
- A compact, indoor version of BBQ places: A small BBQ furnace :)

Is it possible for me to get a mod's foods to work for this plugin? I tried once, however it failed. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Hello,I am a Chinese.I think this plugin is very interesting.I am very like it.can I put it to the zuimc Forum?
Yes please do so :) I appreciate it, thanks a lot!
Just uploaded the next version of WurmBarbecue for Minecraft 1.9 (Bukkit / Spigot) Should be available for download by tomorrow.
I didn't have too much time to implement any new special features, so everything works like you already know :) Chorus fruits can now be cooked to popped chorus fruits.
Thanks for all your support. Hope you enjoy the update! :D
BTW thanks alot to aldroydzito for his Portuguese plugin showcase :) If anyone else wants to make one and send me the link, I will add it to the showcase section
I'm more than happy to announce another update to WurmBBQ. I just released it to bukkit so it should be online in 1-2 days :) It's version 2.4 and it is optimized for MC 1.8.X. It's more a bugfix update but here are the changes:
Bugfix: Chunks with food which is still cooking are kept active until the food is done. This way, there's no more way to duplicate items or loose stuff when you leave the chunk. Thanks to @oldmiow for that bug.
Bugfix: It's no longer possible to use water flowing over a grill so that the raw item can be picked up and a cooked version drops out of the grill. This dupe bug is also fixed, you will get a message saying "Some items were removed from the grill" when you do that.
The bbq.deny permission is no longer active. I figgured out, that ops couldn't use WurmBBQ because they also get this permission. So just don't mind it - anyone can use WurmBBQ now without any permission :)
Hope that's everything to be fixed Cheers, Regenwurm97
@oldmiow
@oldmiow Hey! Thanks for informing me about that bug. I've been to the US for vacation for the past months so I couldn't read your message. Never heard of that but I will try it on my private server tomorrow and see what happens. Usually this kind of bug should be easy to fix though :)
I'm happy that you enjoy my plugin. Take care - Regenwurm97
I found a bug with this plugin on my server (Spigot 1.7.2 R0.4 snapshot). When player throw the food to cook on the slab and go to far away ( server will not load the chunk of the place you are cooking). The food will still be cooked after countdown but the original food (raw food) will still be in there. So if I throw 64 potato to the slab,the system then send me a message so I can confirm the cooking function work,then I tp to the place far away from the cooking place. After countdown,system send me message that 64 potato is cooked to be baked potato. So I back to take my baked potato, the problem is I can not only get the baked potato but also get potato (raw food). / BTW,this is a great plugin :D . It give the user on my server great fun,THX for dev.
@ke4zzy
Thank you for your feedback :)
Works like a charm. We love it. Works great on 1.8.7 thanks so much You can check it out at ip: prostarplanet.com
@KCQuetzal
Haha you're welcome :)
Yea i was really wondering what the issue could be as nobody ever complained about an issue with the permissions :D
I have redefined the permission "*" for WurmBBQ, it will now leave out bbq.deny automatically so you can use * without further problem :)
@Regenwurm97
I resolved the issue! It was due to the perm "*" I had set for myself as Owner of the server! Which automatically was assigning me bbq.deny. I negated this by adding -bbq.deny before "*" and this resolved the issue! :) The clue was when you mentioned global permission below. :) Thank you very much for your support and assistance on this matter! Greatly appreciated! :)
@KCQuetzal
I will check that...can you cook things though? I would think that the problem is that you gave the op a global permission for all wurmbbq permissions (like "bbq.*) or something similar. This doesn't work (because bbq.deny would deny you from using wurmbbq)!
This is the only problem i could think of. Check this version, it has a disabled global command for WurmBBQ (excluding deny):

Hope this works :)
@Regenwurm97
With the WurmBBQ 2.3.1 now even when I am Op I don't have permission to use the plugin (same message as stated before). What permissions plugin do you use? I wonder if that could be the issue? We are using PEX 1.23.3.

@Bubba04
Thx hope everything is like you wanted it :)
@KCQuetzal
Hey there!
bbq.use is not implemented anymore so don't mind anything on that. However, I'm not sure atm why nobody else on your server can use wurmbbq... I've tried it on my server and it works just fine. Please test this exclusive BETA release of WurmBBQ 2.3.1 and tell me if the problem still occurs... :) http://1drv.ms/1D6ggAL
Hope we can solve this problem
- Wurm
@Regenwurm97
Great job on the update!
No one except for Op can use the BBQ. We get a message stating:
[BBQ] You're not permitted to use WurmBarbeque :(
I have tried not having any perms set at all per your statement above: By default, all users are able to use WurmBBQ.
I have also tried adding the perm bbq.use per a statement you made in a reply below
Any assistance would be appreciated. :)

EDIT: Alright I implemented it + another cool change. Check out the changelog of the new version WurmBBQ 2.3
@Bubba04
Hey Bubba :) I could trapdoors to the possible grill surfaces, yeah :) But you will have to wait for some days until I find some time to work on that!
I'm planning to give users the option to fully decide on their own what type of grill surface to use in the next version.
Great Plugin!
Is there anyway to add trapdoors to the available cooking surfaces? It's a lot easier to make a good looking grill with a trapdoor than it is with a half slab.
