vChat

vChat is a project I've started because I'm unsatisfied with the current approach to chat plugins, vChat will feature extensive Spout support and all the features you could want from a chat plugin. The goal here is ease of use, I will make using a chat mod incredibly easy on your users. It will be fully customizable and support Spout optionally.
Here is an ingame screenshot from the alpha version of vChat, this screenshot was taken 2 days after starting work on the project and does not reflect the final product.
If you decide to download the alpha, hit 'c' to bring up the menu. Do not come to me with your issues, this plugin is very early in development.

Posted Mar 3, 2012You can make some button next to chat input, which will allow players to choose text, that will be added before every massage (eg. '!' for global chat, '/.' for SimpleClans clan chat, '/ally' for ally clan chat, etc. fully configurable). That would be awesome

Its being programmed to be spout optional, however running Spout will give you access to many awesome features.

You will be able to save predefined styles in vChat, but its early development so I can't say how they will work just yet.

Posted Aug 27, 2011What i want to know is if i will be able to set a group of players on my server to a permanent fixed setting and not allow them to change it?
Like maybe let us save styles and then allow us to be able to force the style onto any player with a permission like.
vchat.style.stylename
and any one with that permission would end up with that style. also having permissions to enable that side of the menu and the menu as a whole.
if any thing like that is made i would gladly drop mchat and minfo for it.
