What's New?
- /tweet <message> will post a tweet for the main user (Admins Only or/permission)
- Add multiple users in Usernames in the config (Main User MUST be following these users)
- Custom Colors (topDivider, title, username, tweet, and bottomDivider
- Custom Message: minimal, normal (minimal without username and truncated after 35 characters
- Clickable Links (Minecraft dependent: Bukkit fixed the issue in 1.7.4)
Description
Ever wanted to bring twitter to Minecraft? Well now you can with TweetCraft! TweetCraft allows you to display your tweets real-time in Minecraft Chat. TweetCraft is so easy to use and install. ONLY 1 .jar file. No more OAuth setup jars either.
Installation
- Drag the .jar file to your plugins folder and run the server.
- When the config.yml is generated, stop the server.
- For a quick start, please take a look at our sample config.yml
- There are seven easy steps on the installation continued page.
- Go to dev.twitter.com/apps.
- Go to the Installation Continued page.
Coming Soon
- Reward players when they tweet @yourusername (In Progress)
- Reward Player when they Follow you! (In Progress)
- Reward Players when they Retweet a tweet! (In Progress)
- Make plugin lightweight (There is so much code that goes into this, so, maybe a while)
Permissions

I'm glad you haven't abandoned it fully, I hope you will have time to update it in the future :) The main thing is that links are replaced with twitter links (not sure if it's possible to prevent that though) and that you can't click them.

Since College, among other things has really brought my development of this plugin to a halt (even the bukkit situation) I would really like other programmers who have experience to help me out.

I have two suggestions for your nice plugin. It is not possible to click on the urls tweets in game, it would be great to fix it.
What would be really nice too is that we can further customize the display of tweets in game (title, dotted, etc.).

Yes, i will try to have a timed delay to check tweets. Also, the ability to hover in chat is impossible (Unless someone has a modded client). Since Bukkit does not run on the client per say, i dont have the ability to create that onHover effect. Also, since i have been very busy with other work, progress is slow. I would love for another developer to help me out. Please contact me on twitter for a faster response. Thanks.

Cool! Just started using it and it's awesome :) If possible, could you do so when you hover over the twitter username in chat (@name) it will display a box that says "Click to open" or something, and then open up the twitter webpage? Would be awesome :)
Also, It would be useful to have a 10 second delay before displaying the tweet, because sometimes I delete my tweet quickly after posting it (due to spelling mistakes etc)

Yes, the plugin is waiting till the Tweet Stream is fully closed until it shuts down. I will try to fix this and sorry for this inconvenience. If you would post some info on what your sever does (Detailed if possible) and i will have this fixed in the next release. :) Also, i am about to PM you my contact info so i can help you and everyone else with this issue as fast and easy as possible. And thank you for reporting this!

Thanks! Also, TweetCraft hangs every single time the server shuts down, causing some internal issues regarding restarting them and scripts. It hangs on every single server I have on my network. Thanks! :)

Oh haha, that is when someone tweets that you follow. I forgot to remove that from the debugger. This will be removed on the next release. All that was just to help me while programming it. So, nothing to worry about.
And yes, everything you tweet will show up on the server. On the next release, i will see if i can remove the tweets that contain @'s . This will be configure in the config file.
And again, thank you for using the plugin and i cant wait to release TweetCraft 4.0 in the near future.

Also, it notifies and announces every-time I tweet @ someone. Like a response to a help tweet. It should not announce replies, just regular twitter updates. Or it just spams everyone on the server. :)

Yes, i am working on this hotfix, but i think i will just update to a full 4.0 LOL. And the video i said i was making, well, i have to pospone that until after 4.0 since it will contain MASSIVE changes and EPIC features. :D
