TreeAssist
Current Version: TreeAssist v4.3.2
Configs
Major config file re-write! Please check the TreeAssist v4.1 file to see the changes and appropriate actions to take. Its simple and really shouldn't affect servers any differently, but is absolutely required in 4.1+.
Here is the new config:
Features: Auto Fell: True Sapling Percent: 5 Sapling From Leaf: True Tool: Enable Single Tool: True ID: 275 Permissions: Use Permissions: True
You can always copy/paste into your old config file, but it is not recommended.
Features:
Auto Fell: True
- Enable Auto-felling trees. Without this, most of the functionality is disabled.
Sapling Percent: 5
- Percent chance of replanting (not quite implemented yet)
Sapling From Leaf: True
- Enable planting of saplings when they drop from leaves (not quite implemented yet)
Tool:
Enable Single Tool: True
- Limit the TreeAssist tool to only one item.
- If set to False, any axe will work.
ID: 275
- Set the Single Tool item to 275 (stone axe)
Permissions:
Use Permissions: True
- Enable permissions checking. Built against PEX's API.
treeassist.autoremove
- Allows auto-choping trees. This is the main permission.
@mystic221
What are you chopping when this happens?
Ah, will be fixed shortly.

Me, any case.
@teh_jombi
Hey teh-jombi,
Since the 4.1 and 4.1.1 update treeassist no longer works on our server, We have turned permissions on and off in the config and get the same error when someone chops a tree... [SEVERE] Could not pass event BlockBreakEvent to TreeAssist v4.1.1 org.bukkit.event.eventexception... it goes on for several lines....
We are running bukkit 1.4.7 R1 currently
Any Ideas? Thanks!
@XeonG8
Are you still experiencing this issue? Did you try the file I hosted for you?
@Euphmonster
Still having this issue?
@Icefuzion
I made it the stone axe for a few reasons:
If you read the v4.1 file notes, you can set the item to use. If you disable "Enable Single Tool" in the config, it will bind to all axes.
Why would you want only the stone axe to work with this?
Can I do this
ID: 275,258,279,286
to add support for all axes?
@Euphmonster
Can you copy the exact message from the console please.
I have a problem. When I try to run the server, it says TreeAssist isn't supported. I don't know what's wrong, but I pretty much need this plug-in... Help?
@jesse131
There are no commands yet. The plugin I took over didn't have commands either. I will be adding a toggle option soon. The set up is no different than the last version, minus the config. All it takes to get working is copy the file into the plugins folder and start the server. Beyond that its just a preference thing for the config options.
If there's something in particular you're having troubles with, let me know.
@SaDb0y
I can add the hands option.
:(
There was tree falling using hands in the old version but now, this new version doesn't support
that can you return that back later?
Are there actually any commands for this plugin? I'm quite confused with the whole setup. I think a lot of people just need what the old version (the one you kind of took over).
The commands part is overall important. People need to be able to turn it on/off .
@XeonG8
Try this: http://li.silentnoobs.com/TreeAssist.jar
If I may ask, why would you not just use the mcMMO perk if its on your server? Isn't it redundant?
yeh i did add the perms.. , no errors in console loading up or when chopping tree.. so seems to just not work
@XeonG8
Do you use a permissions plugin? Did you set up the permission nodes?
Edit, found an error with the permissions, but it shouldn't disallow auto-felling. Check your config and make sure the settings are right. I'll be uploading a fixed version shortly that may solve your issue.
hmm yeh so i did miss that config thing.. so deleted the tree assist folder...
but even though its generated new configs.. players report trees not falling
@XeonG8
You need to read the file notes for v4.1. The config file changed completely to allow for future enhancements. Just delete the TreeAssist folder and start up your server and let it load the plugin.
@graveXrobber @PomPWNius
Do you guys use a permissions plugin? If so, do you have the right permission nodes for the players? If you don't use permissions, go into the TreeAssist folder and change "Use Permissions" to "False".
@graveXrobber
same here
