Description
This plugin looks for suitable Minecarts and links them together if possible. When two Minecarts are being "linked", the Minecarts will act as one single moving train.
Once carts are successfully linked, an effect is played and their velocity is shared in combination with an individual factor for each Minecart, which is used to remain a steady gap between carts. This gap is adjustable, the force at which this happens as well.
End result: a train! You can move it, make a roller-coaster out of it, split it in half, watch trains collide, whatever you want to do with trains. :)
As for 1.21, it is also possible to safely exit your train by setting an exit offset with a (sideways) push factor for the train. This feature is disabled by default. (only affects dropped items). If you want to display arrival times on signs (see redstone circuit part) you need SignLink, see the downloads on the bottom of the page.
As for 1.35 you can set train properties to make 'special' trains, or to 'finalize' a train

FAQ
When players are near, trains reach their destinations. With no one near, they don't. What do I do?
By default trains do not keep chunks loaded, and they will unload once they move into unloaded chunks. To make trains keep the chunk area (and themselves) around them loaded, set the 'keepchunksloaded' property to True. This can be done using the /train keepchunksloaded true command, using a property sign or by changing it to true in the DefaultTrainProperties.yml file. Incompatibilities
If you have another plugin that performs similar Minecart replacement techniques, it is likely that TrainCarts will not function or function poorly. For the 'chunk persistence' part of this plugin, other plugins that unload chunks without firing events result in this feature failing. Minebackup is known for having this problem.
Metrics
This plugin sends server count statistics to MCStats.org. You can (globally) opt out in the PluginMetrics/config.yml file.

Hey, just installed your newest beta (1.6B37) on a recent 1.2.4 dev build (2112 at the moment) and bad stuff is happening. :) I understand if you don't want to bother with dev builds, but I'm guessing this is related to changes in 1.2.4 itself.

After this the server locks up for all active users and won't accept connections, but is still responsive on the command line (so e.g. I can type stop and shut it down).
@cuitpoisson Problem is that there is no defined 'all' I can loop through, so instead I currently transfer all literally. (no item checks)
I will have to change the system a bit then...maybe even turn it into a 'TransferInventory'.

I intalled the latest version (v1.60B33) But everytime I place a minecart, the server crashes. Do you know why?

This mod is awesome! I moved from Minecart Mania and it was way different, but when I got used to it, I enjoy it much more! Thanks for your work on it. :)
Nice mod, this seems like a good replacement/upgrade from minecart mania. A nice feature would be more advanced item selections. I noticed that there is no way to select all items, or exclude an item from a range. At least I couldn't find it on http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Bukkit/TrainCarts/Signs/Items
Ideally, if it could select all items, minus one, like all items except dye, that would be great.
Otherwise, beta build works well on CB1.2.3R0.1

Hi, is the latest build for 1.2.3-R0.1? I tried it and received some severe errors. It could be conflicting with other plugins though.

The download button takes you to version 1.54 instead click where it says v1.60B33 on the right. It works really well, I've found no bugs so far

Hello! Having these little problems in my server..
Trains works fine a little of time (maybe 3-5 minutes), but in the end the carts from a train start to fall apart from each other so that all the train properties etc. will disappear also.
Other bug is that trains (or carts) will stop somewhere on the tracks.. just like that.. This happens a lot when train starts to divide so maybe its linked to that somehow.
