Total Protect

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Total Protect is an easy to use protection plugin that can protect chests, furnaces, blocks, and much more at ease.

NOTE: This plugin still has a lot to be done. This is a very early build which will be updated frequently.

Installation

Download the latest release of Total Protect.
Move the plugin to the plugins folder.

It only works with vanilla blocks. It is not made to work with modded blocks.

Just put it in and added the ore blocks to the list. I am curious, How would i put in the custom ores? Just put the itemid in?

They are not ID's. I plan on adding id's for the colored wool, dyes, etc due to the fact that those items have multiple items for one id. But the items that can be used can be found here: Materials.

How do the actual id's work in the file then? Because from what i can see they aren't ID'S or the names of blocks, they are just abreviated :/

Can i get a list of all the ones you have so far?

Put blocks you do not want to be placed in the config file which is located in the plugins folder.

I am glad this is something that you are interested in. This plugin is still in its Alpha stages so everything you said plus more will be added and or fixed. I am aware of blocks not able to placed on blocked blocks. All of this will be fixed by the time the plugin is released. Also, I am not sure yet if I will be adding servers that use and/or recommend it but that may change. Thanks for showing interest in my plugin.

Woot! i believe this is exactly what i need, i have a large RPG like map and i want players to only be able to destroy certain blocks such as Ores in the mines, using worldGuard is way too large scale and wont do the trick, if you support this plugin it would be really helpful for me and my server xD Also, do you plan on having a list of servers that use and recommend this plugin? if you do then feel free to put mine on there, just PM me for the details :)

Edit: After using this plugin i have a few minor suggestions, 1: can you have a seperate Place/Destroy list, eg, i dont want players to place anything, but be able to destroy ores, so if they destroy an ore with a silk touch, they then wont be able to place it all over the map and make a mess :3

Secondly, it would be a nice addition to have some sort of message when you break the block, at the moment it just re-places itself, just something simple like "You cannot place/destroy this blocktype" would be cool :)

I have also found 1 issue with this plugin, rather than stopping me from placing stone when i have it in the config, it prevents me from interacting with stone, eg if i look at wood and place stone it will work, however if i look at stone and place wood, it doesn't.

I have not added that yet. Also you can only protect blocks, not items. So apples, arrows and so forth will not work. Is it all working good for you now?

I am positive wood works. I have it running on my own personal server. I believe you should be able to do STONE_SLAB. I will have to test this when I get home. Also make sure that the items are in all caps such as: WOOD, LOG, GRASS. Everything should work except for wool. Also if you are an op on your server then you will be able to bypass the block protection all together. Could you please post your config with proper formatting so I could check if their is any other problems. Also for a list of items that can be added check out this page: Materials

my config file is listed but i pasted it right here now here it isnt listed but the things that dont work for me are : Stone slab , wood , sign , door , trapdoor. and how can i pute something with 2 words in the config just like this?: -STONE SLAB
