TimeShift
TimeShift
Tazzernator, cjc343
Deutsch config.yml from RasCas
Summary:
TimeShift gives you control over how time progresses on your server. It allows you to set both the current behavior and the startup behavior for any world to progress normally, loop day, or loop night. It also offers multiple options for sunrise and sunset.
TimeShift attempts to play nice with other plugins that reserve the '/time' command by cancelling active shifts on a world if a '/time [x]' command is used. It also offers Bukkit permission nodes which are available by default to ops.
You can easily modify what messages TimeShift displays and who sees them using the configuration file which is generated when TimeShift is first run. This allows you to localize TimeShift in your own language or simply control who sees announcements. If you decide to localize TimeShift, you should send me your config!

If you are currently browsing via minecraft.curse.com, please follow this link. The sub-pages do not work on curse.com yet, and at this rate (and knowing curse) they never will. DBO provides a much cleaner, easier to read, limited-ad (320 pixels of affiliate links) place to view Bukkit plugins.
@ZeEye
No. Are you having a problem?
Is this plugin dead?
Hi! -- I'm the author.
I never check this page.

@kozzy68
Sorry, I don't plan to expand TimeShift to do this for several reasons, including:
1. There are other features on the table that would benefit TimeShift's existing user base, who for the most part would see no benefit from adding completely new features that are not primarily targeted at existing users at this point.
2. I don't have time to do a whole lot, and while I love working on TimeShift in my free time, and will rush an update if it breaks, major changes to what TimeShift does are unlikely, especially if already implemented elsewhere.
3. There are other plugins that do just that such as TimeFold, TweakedCycle, and TimeMaintain.
Hi would be possible to add new mode where you can have x configurable days in a row and x nights after (sort of longer day). So you can get 4 times longer day but not day all the time.
@frol1
Is "after a while" after you restart or reload your server?
If so, chances are you're looking for the /shift startup day command.
If not, can you provide more info about how your server is configured, what other plugins or mods it's running, and when it seems to stop working?
Hmm,
I do /shift day and it says
"The time suddenly shifts on creativeworld" but it will turn back to night after awhile
@frol1
I haven't had any issues on my server.
is this working for 1.2.4?
@cjc343
thank you it is added and works great, thanks for the quick response.
@epicbastion
You can define aliases in the plugin.yml file. Open the .jar in any program for opening .zip files (such as 7zip), and add a line under shift: that says ' aliases: tshift'
That should fix it.
I'll add it as an official alias next time I release an update.
If that still doesn't work, let me know and I'll fix it before I make the changes that were planned pre-2.2... :/
Hi there,
just downloaded the plugin and installed it. Is there anyway you could add an alternate command as /shift interferes with world edit if double hashing is off. Could you add /tshift as an alias for your command structure.
thanks
@JackieSmash
By any chance does your survival map seem to change every time the server is restarted or reloaded?
Assuming so, just type '/shift startup stop' on the survival world, or '/shift startup stop worldname' to do so from any world.
If incorrect startup settings doesn't appear to be the issue, then I'll need a little more information. At the very least, this would be world names and your TimeShift.db file, but a preconfigured server that demonstrates the problem would be ideal.
Well here is my problem. I have it looping day in my creative maps on startup but every now and then my normal survival map that shouldnt be constant day gets stuck on constant day. I cancle the time on the main survival map but every now and then it just goes back to constan day. How do I stop that from happening?
@Dooderdo
TimeShift.db contains the startup settings for each world, yes, but using the in-game commands is the easiest way to edit it.
The config.yml file contains localization settings and some miscellaneous settings for who gets notified of changes.
@cjc343
Oh sorry, sometimes I just zone-out when downloading plugins... I guess I just have to pay more attention. ;)
Thanks for the fast reply!
P.S.: So would that configuration be held in the "TimeShift.db"? I would assume so.
@Dooderdo
TimeShift supports separately setting the current behavior and the startup behavior. In order to start your space world looping night, use '/shift startup night'
Startup settings only take effect after a restart or reload, so the current behavior is unaffected. If you don't use startup settings, they take effect immediately, but disappear when restarted or reloaded. This lets you, for example, return to a normal time schedule on a world that normally loops night, but know that it'll go back to looping night automatically next time the server starts.
Please take a look at the command reference if you are still unsure, I believe it does a better job of explaining it.
Say that my space world is on time shift night. Whenever I reload my server, and time shifts will be removed, reverting to the normal Minecraft time/day cycles.
@JackieSmash
TimeShift 2.2 is now available through the Latest JAR link. The file is waiting for approval on BukkitDev.
Thanks so much! :)
