TimedProtect
Overview
What is TimedProtect?
Timed Protect will remove LWC protections for inactive players after a period of time. This means that your world will not be scattered with protected chests, that are owned by players that no longer player on your server. There are multiple benefits of having this feature with LWC on your server:
- It makes your world look nicer.
- It enables players to build more easily because they can remove old protected chests in an area where they want to build.
- It recycles any materials that have been dormant in any unused chests back into the server's economy.
- It encourages your players to regularly play on your server.
Features:
- Will even work for chests placed before you have downloaded this plugin.
- Set the length of time for the removal of protections.
- Set which types of LWC protected blocks lose thier protection (for example chests, but not furnaces).
- 2 different modes available for slight different use of this plugin.
How To Use It:
Firstly in the config you need to set your 'time', 'mode' and 'blocks'.
- Time is the lengh of time (in seconds) that is used for mode 1 and 2. See below for info on mode 1 and 2.
- Blocks is a list of blocks (id numbers) that TimedProtect will recognise. This is used for mode 1 and 2, see below for info on mode 1 and 2.
There are 2 modes that can be used for this plugin:
- Mode 1: If a player interacts with a protected block from the 'list of blocks' and they do not have access to it and the owner of the block is not online and the owner has not joined the server for the 'length of time'. Then the protection on that block is removed.
- Mode 2: If a player interacts with a protected block from the 'list of blocks' and they do not have access to it and the the block has not been used/accessed by any player for the 'length of time'. Then the protection on that block is removed.
Permissions:
- timedprotect.exempt - Exempts a player from losing their protections.

Awesome work! Keep it up!
@gbsn
I don't think you will have any problems
Its is something confusing me about the: Dependencys things. I run a bukkit+essentials So will my server have problems in have, also LWC and your plugin?
not doing anything
@aroeira
What is it doing?
I tested on my tekkit server and it is not working.
@aroeira
You set the lock expire time in the config. If you want to make sure it's working then make that really short (like 30 seconds) and then get a friend to see if they can open your chest.
P.s don't forget that the owner of the chest (you) will have to log off for your friend to be able to open it.
@sharp237
I am using this plugin. How can I check how many days the item will expires the lock protection or if it is working ?
@aroeira
What do you mean?
how can I know if the plugin is working ? I got no messages.
@Koowluh
Yes
I haven't tried this plugin yet, but is it compatible with 1.31R2.0 ?
@Synaps4
I'm planning on supporting lockette first. Then I will start supporting other protection plugins :) However it all depends on whether a plugin's API allows me to do this.
Hey Sharp, do you plan on expanding this to support worldguard as well? I'd be very interested in that.
@Not_saying
Use LWC instead of Lockette.... Then it will work! No worry, you can import db's.
@apoisonedgift
Yes, I accidently left that in in 1.1 :( Please use TimedProtect 1.2 for that to stop. Don't worry those messages are not actually doing anything bad, except they're annoying.
Getting the console flooding with "debug msg 1" "debug msg 2" "debug msg 3".... ??
i would get this if you make it work with lockette
Thank you for doing this very good plugin. I do not know why lwc do not have it already.
