Swear Switch
The Ultimate Solution to Censoring
- Allow Players to personally toggle messages that contain words from the Black List
- Easily add and removed censored words via in-game commands

The goal of Swear Switch is to allow players to personally decide if they want to see bad language. Admins can configure what is considered "explicit language" by adding and deleting words.
Player Commands
/censor Toggles chat censoring for whoever typed command
Admin Commands
/swear add <word> Adds a word to the Disallowed Words List
/swear del <word> Deletes a word from the Disallowed Words List
/swear list Lists all words on the Disallowed Words List
Permissions
swear.admin Allows the user to access the Admin Commands
Installation
- Download SwearSwitch.jar from the right side of this page
- Drag SwearSwitch.jar into your plugins folder
- Restart or reload your server

I don't think this feature would be very useful. SwearSwitch doesn't disable swearing, it only toggles it for the people who don't want to see it. So if someone wants to swear, they can just swear. No big deal. They don't have to put spaces when they are allowed to freely say the word.

Filter out spaces in things.
Say 'meep' is censored. In the plugin's current state, it would not censor 'me ep'. Would it be possible to add a function to detect spaces in words so that people can't get around the censor?

Posted Jun 23, 2014is it possible to make it do the following:
instead of removing the whole message for all the people with censor on, it simply *s the word out?
example: say i throw the f bomb out there. in the plugin's current state, it just removes the whole message. my idea is that if a swear is thrown out, just the word is like * * * *(have to add spaces because bbcode lol).
