Players can build street-lamps for their towns and remote controle them by redstone and other events (daytime, weather, manually).
Features
- remote controled lamps using Redstone
- light your streets when it's raining
- light your streets during night-time
- seven lamp shapes: pole, pendant, ceiling, bottom, sconce, globe and tube
- CraftBukkitUpToDate support
- MultiWorld support
- connect lamps with buttons or levers
How to use
Build
- build a pattern using bulb material and fences
- power the PowerBlock (redstone, lever, etc)
- hit the bulb with a RedstoneTorch
- enjoy
Toggle
To toggle a lamp manually you click it with the right mouse button. Toggling lamps manually will only work if manually mode is enabled.
Connect
Using "/StreetLamps connect" you can mark several bulbs to one button or lever by rightclicking them. Calling the command again will bind those together. The lamps will not react to power, daytime or rain any longer and instead will turn on/off when the controller (button/lever) is used via right click.
Modes
- Daytime
- Weather
- Manually
- Power
- Repeater
- RemoveTorch
- Cluster
- PureBulb

Can anyone confirm that this is working on 1.4.6?
hy, can you please update it or make it opensource so that other people can update it?
Need to update this! I placed street lamps all around a city I made, so there were like hundreds of them, and they'll all go to waste if this isn't updated
I'd love to use this on Bukkit-1.2.3, but unfortunately it's not compatible with the new APIs. Could you please either fix it or release the source so that I can fix it myself?
Thanks!
@cyris69
This one is similar and was updated recently. I think Street Lamps is a bit more flexible, but if you just want premade lamps, then Glowstone works well.

For the life if me I can't find the newest plugin like this which lets you use glass to autospawn premade lamp arrangements
@Grey_M62
Use falsebook for that >.<
First thing great plugin!! Second thing when is this updated to the new 1.1 builds? Third thing maybe add a abilitie that we dont need to put pvp on to create a lamp. @GrnEyedDvl
It works great. The only comment I have is that you have to set yourself in PvP mode to hit the lamp, Creative doesnt work. Its kind of a pain to switch back and forth all the time.
is this working? since version 1 came out? I installed it, gave my self op.. tried to create a lamp... nothing worked.
hmmm...... could probably make traps replacing stone with air by the flip of a switch.... or secret doors... could name it block changer?
A suggestion for the sconce:
where
s = slab/half block (2..n)
p = powered block
f = fence
b = bulb
BTW, would it be possible to set up a forum? IMHO using the comments as the main form of discussion is no different than using a single thread as per the bukkit.org forums and there'll be virtually no advantage in using the dev.bukkit pages.
Thanks for the quick tube pattern. I successfully made a bunch of tubes that were 5 glowstones wide. I designed a road for them using LazyRoad that included redstone torches to provide the power. They activated and worked just fine.
I can't quote ... I don't like this platform^^
@KelvinYaw24: If you are not using powermode you can remove the source of power after building. You can turn of powermode via configuration or "/slamps power". (The command toggles the mode) For more details on the modes take a look at this page.
If you don't have permission to rightclick (interact with) a block in the area you can't toggle a lamp manually.
Yes, I promissed to provide a pattern for the tube but I have exams right now. For pattern take a look at this page.
I like the concept. I've built several of the pole/pendant/globe variety. I'm not sure which one I like best but I'm mostly experimenting still. The having to power the 'power point' with redstone is a little tedious. I'm planning (for the most part) to run the lamps in daytime/weather mode.
It appears that 'mode' is a global state (unless a lamp is attached to a controller) Would lamps that have redstone circuits to them (but not active) turn on based on time?
Even with manual mode enabled I have been unable to successfully turn 'on' a light with a right-click. (I've been trying to right-click the globe.) Any chance Pixl (even though not active) is catching the right click so you don't see it?
Your docs and list mention a 'tube' style lamp but I don't see a pattern for it.
