StackDispense
DISCONTINUED: USE AT OWN RISK
This simple plugin allows users to dispense more than just one item from a dispenser or dropper. It also allows for faster transfer of Items using a Hopper.
How to use
Just attach a sign to one side of the dispenser/dropper/hopper. The first line on the sign has to be "stackdispense" (not case sensitive), the second line any (positive) number.
on Dispensers/Droppers
Now, if the dispenser/dropper is triggered, instead of only one item, a stack of x items of the same type will be dispensed, where x is the number you wrote on the sign. The same number of items are removed from the dispenser's inventory accordingly. If there are less than x items, only those available will be dispensed. If the number is invalid, the dispenser/dropper will always fall back to normal behaviour. It is possible to "overload" the Stacks. Want to give 9 Stacks of delicious pumpkin pies to your player at once? Just crank up the number to 576 and watch the dispenser being emptied in one tick. (They still will take up nine slots in the player's inventory though)
Caution: Items that have special interactions with a dispenser like arrows, snow balls, eggs or buckets can lead to items getting lost. I'll try to adress these problems in a later version.
on Hoppers
For faster transfer of Items you can also use this on a Hopper. The behaviour is almost the same, except for the transfer being limited to 1 stack at a time. So there will be no point in setting the amount on the sign higher than 64. Also, only as many will be transferred as there is room for in the target inventory.
Permissions
To restrict creation and destruction of those dispensers/droppers, the following permissions can be used. Those are by default granted to ops only.
- stackdispense.create allows players to create a stackdispense sign
- stackdispense.destroy allows players to destroy a stackdispense sign and dispensers/droppers/hoppers with a stackdispense sign attached.
- stackdispense.* grants both of the above
