Check out my other project: Strikes
I get this error.
CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-1.4.7-R1.0-b2624jnks (MC: 1.4.7)
(Implementing API version 1.4.7-R1.0)
JoinMessage 2.3.
@GhostCrafter99
I will look into adding in-game commands.
@theDecrowned
Because banning, kicking, and jailing isn't what the plugin is about. If I were to do those I would have to make commands for them too. Plus, essentials already allows you to ban kick and jail with a custom reason.(I am not so sure about the jail one though).
@tacticalsk8er
Hm, any specific reason why you won't? Or just because it defeats the purpose of the plugin.
I like it's simplicity and easy handle.
When you finish the "Costum Join/Quit Messager for Players" do in-game cmds!!!
It would be so much better if you had cmds, giving it a pro look. :)
You could do something like this:
/jm help - All cmds
/jm ? - All cmds
/jm (group/player) (groupname/playername) set (Quit/Join) (Message)
/jm info - Version and author
/jm reload - Reloads the Plugin (Only needed when working with the .txt file)
/jm (group/player) (groupname/playername) prefix (Prefix)
/jm (group/player) (groupname/playername) suffix (Suffix)
So if i wanted to change Default Group Quit message i would do:
/jm group Default set Quit The noob %player% left
And if i wanted to change my Join message i would do:
/jm player GhostCrafter99 set Join %player% joined the Server
And same thing would happen to suffix and prefix:
To change my prefix:
/jm player GhostCrafter99 prefix The Awsome
To change a groups suffix:
/jm group Default suffix [Newbie Speaking]
Just Ideias
@tacticalsk8er
I don't see anything wrong with adding a kick message. Currently when someone gets kicked, it's just a default leave message.
@theDecrowned
I will not do messages for kicking, banning or jailing. All others have been added to the upcoming features list :D
@theDecrowned
yes!
Adding on to what jdcvanderwal said, you should add all of those types of messages. (banning, kicking, muting, jailing, whitelist, full server, etc)
add also that if players get kicked a message!!!!!!
I will get around to fixing everything and adding new stuff after the weekend. I am away from my computer atm for the entire weekend.
You should add a custom message for when new players join the server for the first time! That would be awesome :)
@tacticalsk8er
Everything working great, thanks! :)
@tacticalsk8er
No errors in the log. Only the message that JoinMessage v2.0 (but I have 2.1.1?!) is enabled appears. I'm using global messages.
Just a suggestion, but you should possibly add death messages. Then it could be an all-in-one. :)
@Niknox
Are you getting errors in the log? Are you using group messages or global ones? More info would be appreciated.
@theDecrowned
In-Game Message Editing will not bring in /msg, /tell comands. For one these commands are already in bukkit without any plugins. Two there is a lot of general command plugins out there that have these commands, and allow formatting to be done by them. What In-Game Messaging really means is that you will be able to change join/quit messages in-game.
Since I have upgraded from v1.5 to v2.1.1 JoinMessage only handles the Leave messages on my server. The join messages aren't the one I've set. How can I avoid interferences? I'm using Spigot 1.4.7-R1.1#485 and Essentials-Pre2.10.1.4
This plugin is amazing. It's by far the best and easiest Join/Quit message plugin I've used. Personally, I can't wait for the in-game message editing if it means what I think.
It means the /msg, /tell, etc command, correct?
Awesome plugin! Thanks!
@LiLChris06
Working on fixing this.
Edit: Fixed in v2.1.1
