@spazmonkey777
So other users can see vanished people with /list ? And they did not have permission to view hidden people ?
@Viper14500
That is a known issue, i will check things soon.
Hey i have a problem with your plugin and dynmap! When i use the command /vanish i will be vanished in the game but also on the Dynmap! Thats good but when i use /rea i only "come back" ingame but not on the dynmap? The only way to see me again on dynmap is to restart the whole server! Can you help?
@asofold
Sorry, should've done that. I am using Essentials-Pre2.9.4.1, and in the console it says the hook was added and enabled, with no errors, but it still doesn't seem to work in game.
@spazmonkey777
I need feedback :)
What essentials version are you using ?
Does the log show that the Essentials hook got added? (In the start up log right after Simplyvanish enabling or similar.)
@asofold
Not that I want to sound ungrateful, but I updated, and it seems we still show up when someone uses /list. Unless there's something else I forgot to do? Thanks for the work so far!
@spazmonkey777
@457undead
I added a hook for Essentials: SimplyVanish 1.1.0
It should hide vanished players from the commands of Essentials.
@spazmonkey777
For just being vanished there should not be conflicts. But concerning other stuff like taking damage there might.
Soon to be added...
@asofold
Well I have been using SimplyVanish and Essentials at the same time for months now, with no conflict. I recently tried Essentials without SimplyVanish, and it worked well, but there was no option for flags and it doesn't have the config options like auto-vanishing upon login. So I decided to keep using SimplyVanish. Essentials does use /vanish, but it seems when I have SimplyVanish on, the /vanish command defaults to SV and not Essentials, which is good.
So I don't see any conflict issues, I just wish I could either have Essentials allow me to be auto-vanished upon login, or have SV hide me under /list. I'd be happy with either option :)
@spazmonkey777
@457undead
Using both vanish could "work", but of ocurse having several plugins that do vanishing can conflict on some accounts, for instance the seeing permissions or flags, so probably first use essentials vanish then SimplyVanish vanish - but then you have other features colliding.
Maybe it is possible to add a hook for essentials, that does the listing, i will have a look.
After having a short look into Essentials, there does not seem to be a clean way to use an external vanish plugin with essentials. Probably i can find a more dirty way later (i could call essentials/setVanished, problem is that then lal the essentials vanish handling will also be done, though you would have to type less) ...
@spazmonkey777
Im no expert in this plugin. In fact i have never even used this plugin but try using both the essentials vanish and the simplyvanish at the same time. Hope that helped
So I have dug around a lot, and can't find a solution to my issue. I have used SimplyVanish for months now, and love it. But the only thing that I couldn't fix was that myself and my Mods show up when players use /list, /who, /online, etc. We use Essentials alongside SimplyVanish, and I love how essentials new built in vanish will hide you from /list, but I prefer simply vanish, but we are only hidden from the TAB list and not /list.
Anyone know a solution to this? I feel like there is an easy fix, but I am not sure. Slowly my players are figuring this out, and using /list whenever I logout and log back in auto-vanished. Any help is great, Thanks!
@asofold
Concerning sounds:
The latest CraftBukkit development versions seem to be addign something for sounds, so i will soon have a look how to prevent sounds by vanished players.... that is just about about playing sounds, not preventing them. So no solution in sight right now.
@lme999
Moving sounds seem not to be fixable in a direct way, right now.
@Hollow36rus
I think this is intended features, partly due to necessity.
If you vanish your disguise must be turned off, otherwise you would still be visible as your disguise (technical reasons: DisguiseCraft sends extra packets to the clients faking the mobs, i can not alter that).
Currently old disguises (from before vanish) are not remembered, so if you reappear, you will be normal. It is not impossible to add to remember the disguise but i did not consider it very important yet.
Hello. I use DisguiseCraft 3.1 and SimplyVanish 0.4.3:
I use / vanish, when I have disguised -> My disguise will off. I use a disguise, when I have vanished -> /vanish will off. How to fix it? Sorry for my Eng :)
@asofold
one of my staff members told me that he could hear vanished players footsteps walking around (for example while he was watching a player they could hear his footsteps) I then tested it myself and figured out it was true. is there a command to change that? or is it a bug with the 1.3.1 plugin, If so please fix.
@Skicraft
Good point, did cheat clients adapt to it yet ?
Due to missing API i might not be able to do so, though.
Not sure what can be done about that. One could think of duplicating the noises at random positions for obfuscation, but that would be close to hilarious, probably.
I will see what i can do...
Hey asofold, Any chance you could block sound created by the vanished player?
Thanks for your work on this plugin :)
Tom
@Jobsti2
Bukkit team stopped it :)
But on the other hand the chat updates would be worth it if all plugins do it .,..
I will soon test a simple adaption that will make chat checks fully asynchronous at the cost of a little general performance, if it profiles well ill just use that.
I would have a "better" solution, which would cost significantly less performance but it is more complicated to implement and more error prone, besides SimplyVanish does not monitor moves and mob spawning and the most frequent events, so it probably will not be a performance loss worth mentioning.
But i will test it first.
Heyho aso,
anyone must begin to stop this console-spam ;)
Waiting for your update/fix.
Thanks.
@lcfelipe
I will not update instantly, due to the old chat event still working, you are just left with the chat performance which roughly resembles that of CB builds for 1.2.5 untill all of your plugins use the asynchronous chat.
It is not critical but i will make it asynchronous, it might just take a few days.
