Updated for the new version Minecraft! :D
This is a plugin I made for my Tekkit server (Also works for Vanilla servers and Bukkit), I wanted a Plugin that would give out kits when the player first joins, and have the abilty to let them use it more than once by using /kit <KitName>. I tried some others and they didn't work or had errors, some worked fine, but didn't support first join etc. so I made my own! Hope you like it!
This plugin comes with an automatic update checker (Doesn't automatically download the file though). You can Enable/Disable this update checked via the config.yml (Found in the plugins/SimpleKit folder). Just set to CheckForLatestVersion to true/false to suit your needs!
How to Install...
Easy! Just drop the SimpleKit.jar into your Plugins folder and Start the Server! Simple as!
Commands
The commands are very Simple! Here they are:
- /kits - Show's a list of Kits
- /kit <KitName> - Gives the kit to that player
- /reloadsimplekit - Reloads the simplekit configs
Permissions
The permissions are simple! You can find them in the Plugin.yml, and here.
To Do List:
Add Economy SupportDONE!

Maybe cause /pvp isn't a command..? Unless you made a kit called pvp then it would be /kit pvp or you have more than one plugin and they are interfering.

Posted Mar 14, 2013Hey, uh, every time a player (or myself) logs into my server, we get given the starter kit. I'm not too sure but aren't we only supposed to get this once?? Also, every time I'm getting the said kit, it doubles, then triples etc the amount of items I've set. Cheers!

Posted Feb 10, 2013I'm a big fan of the config.yml parsing and your introductory comments. This is the fourth kit plugin I've installed and tried, and it seems to be the easiest to configure.
Anyway, I'm trying to use this plugin for something very specific (DayZ exploration & building hunger games server... Quite unique), and all that I really need for it to work, that most other kitplugins have, is automatically assigned kits at respawn, preferably in the right slots (armor equipped), not just when they first join the server. Basically that whenever people die, they respawn with the "FirstJoinKit" in the world.
Is there any way you could implement a feature like this? I think it would improve the plugin. Also, and this is just spitballing, a way to randomly get a kit starter/starter2/starter3 would be pretty cool, so it's one doesn't start with the exact same items every time.
