Simple Wands
Description
This plugin will add magical wands to your Minecraft world!
Every witch you kill will have a 10% chance of dropping a random wand from the list below, they can be used infinitely with a certain cooldown between uses.
But be aware - some of these wands are dangerous to use.
As an added bonus I've uploaded the plugins source code to GitHub and will update it regularly.
If you like one of the wands feature feel free to use the wands plugin code. Do not upload the plugin / source code to any other sites, only use parts of the source code.
Version 1.3
A new version of the Wands Plugin just released, bringing the following changes:
- Added slime wand
- Added config file allowing the user control over some wand spawn settings
- Added permission
wands.give. Now only players that have this permission or are operators can recieve wands using commands - Added
/wands helpcommand that will show a list of all commands - Fixed coloring of pumpkin wand
- Fixed bug that caused rocket wand not to work in some situations

All current Wands
Common
0 second cooldown
- Craftsman Wand Will open a crafting menu for you
Uncommon
5 second cooldown
- Fireball Wand Shoots a fireball in the direction you are looking
- Teleport Wand Teleports you to the block you are looking at
- Rocket Wand Launches you in the direction you are looking
- Slime Wand Does some slime stuff?
Rare
20 second cooldown
- Trickery Wand Gives you speed for a limited time, if you sneak in that time period you get teleported to the position you were at when using the wand
- Ice Wand Covers the nearby area in snow and freezes every mob inside of it
Legendary
30 second cooldown
- Cloud Wand Creates some temporary blocks under you so that you can walk through air
- Earth Wand Launches blocks and mobs nearby into the air dealing significant fall damager
Ancient
60 second cooldown
- Summoners Wand Summons a few angry wolfs nearby targeting random mobs or players in their area
- Lightning Wand Strikes lightning at the position of the block you are looking at
- Pumpkin Wand Spawns a bunch of flying pumpkins. These will confuse mobs and players by giving blindness and slowness effects as well as pushing the target in random directions

Posted Oct 31, 2020Would you PLEASE update this mod? It's been over a year. I really like it, the literal only problem with it is that I can't modify the cooldowns or rarity. I as a complete noob, tried to change and recompile your source code to change the cooldowns and all I managed to do was waste 3 hours of my life and feel angry as hell. I ain't no damn programmer, I know how shitty it is to develop plugins, but I would be eternally greatful for an update. Maybe even could be persuaded to generously donate if you'd like to update this ;)

Posted Aug 16, 2019Very cool plugin, works perfectly on bukkit server 1.14
Please allow config of which wands are avalible for dropping. The cloud wand has numerous bugs, it destorys stair blocks, breaks item frames and paintings.

These blocks will be fixed in a soon to follow update. I'm just moving the whole plugin over to an API so a bunch of stuff works a bit better behind the scenes.

It no longer works for me. It looks like it was either deleted by the person who stole or deleted by a moderator. They've already deleted it once and reuploaded it again, so they might do it a third time.

Posted Jun 22, 2019Hello, the colored glass produced by the wand can be knocked off by the player with a tool for accurate collection. Some players can use this to brush the item. Can the glass be destroyed without falling?

What exactly do you mean by "accurate collection"? I can imagine the glass being brakeable by silk touch tools which I'll fix in the next update.
Also what do you exactly mean "can the glass be destroyed without falling? If you destroy the glass from the wand it will replace it either directly or one block beneath you if the effect is still active

Posted Jun 14, 2019Is not working on a Spigot server.. ;( In the wands folder there is only one config.yml with
Wands:
Drop:
Enabled: true
Chance: 80
but nothing else. Please fix that because I would really like to play with wands.

Can you see the plugin if you type /pl, if so have you tried recieving a command using i.e. /wands give fireball?

Posted Jun 13, 2019Suggestions: 1) Please make it so we can edit all the attributes such as rarety and cooldowns. 2) Make a wand that executes a server command when used, for this example we ourselves can make a "Healing Wand" by making left click a /heal <player> to heal your friend when left clicked on him and right click /heal it'll heal the caster 3) Would be nice if we had a spell book since carrying so many wands could get a little too much when you have too many other items I know these suggestions are a little ambitious, but your plugin seems the best out there, thank you for it

Your suggestions (the way I think you meant them) seem very interesting but I would definitely think about them. Especially suggestion number 3 would change the plugin quite a lot.
