Simple Player List
Main | Installation | Configuration
Description
Simple Player List is the successor to OnlinePlayers. It is a plugin which collects the currently active members on your server and sends the information to a webpage that can be viewed by the public.
It displays whether or not the server is online, the users who are currently online (if any) and the number of users online out of the total that can be online.
There are two configuration files. One for the Bukkit plugin, so that it can connect to the PHP script. The other is to configure the functionality of the actual list display.
Permissions support (which is entirely optional), to enable the creation of custom ranks. You can create as many ranks as you want, and call them whatever you like. The purpose is to add a little tag, or prefix before the user's name in the player list.
Features
- Automatically updating active player list, viewable as a webpage.
- Permissions support for custom ranks. (Optional)
- Easy to configure with simple and explained config files.
- Status of the server is displayed as offline or online.
- Run on ANY Server. The server can send the list to any website or computer that has the correct php files. This means if the physical Minecraft server is off, the scripts can still run and display that the server is offline.
- Compact display. No confusing extra crap around the page to distract from the real purpose of the list.
- The ability to display a users skin face next to their name.
- The format of the list can be altered and parts removed to get exactly what you want.
- Give your users ranks with the config.yml file and simple permission nodes.
- Simple Prefix (link) integration. If you are running Simple Prefix, users prefixes will be used as ranks.

To Do's
- Order the players in the list by their ranks.
@NehR
its an issue with the actual plugin, its borked. Doesnt seem like the author plans to update it soon either.
Love this plugin! I've played around some with the looks of it (http://nehr.nawebdesign.se/mcsite/).. only question I have: how do I fix the "offline"-issue? (Where the site shows my server as offline even though it's not :/)
Edit: How do I specify which port the server is running on in the config-file? Could that possibly be the problem? Any quick fix? Edit again: Nope.. that wasn't it.. :/ Gimme a shout if someone knows a fix to the offline-thing.
@Flabaliki
Hello, thanks for this great plugin! :D
Is there a way to deactivate this boring message? It spams 5 in 5 seconds :(
16:51:10 [INFO] [Simple Player List] Refreshed.
Thank you :D
The only problem I am having is that it is saying my server is offline. So I made a quick fix and copied the image at images/server-on.png, renamed it to server-off.png, then re-uploaded haha. Example shown at www.HeroicCraft.com
@darkcloud784
Personally I HATE the spamming. But everything else, except for the face, problem is working. I never wanted to use a plugin so before I tried checking server stats with PHP, I tried 7 different ways but they only work locally. For some reason they used to work but now they do not from a remote host.
Sorry for the issues everyone. They all stem from the custom delay setting. I really don't have the time to fix it now, in about 2 weeks or less I will have time off and will be able to get around to it. For now, I just can't find the time to fix it. I apologise for all the inconvenience, it -will- be fixed.
@darkcloud784
Version 1.3.1 refuses to show that my server is online. The custom delay variable seems to be responsible, because I cut the code for reciever.php at the server online display part from a previous version, and it works now.
@gabessdsp
Honestly i uninstalled this plugin due to the issues I was having. NO response from the dev either. It spams the console, can even clog up the main bukkit thread causing a crash, and also doesnt display server info correctly.
I figured out how to get it to show. I am having a couple of problems though:
1. It takes about 10 seconds everytime I load the page for the server stats to show.
2. Nothing is aligned in the center.
How can I fix those?

EDIT: Also I just got another error:
Warning: imagepng() [function.imagepng]: Unable to open '/playerlist/images/skins/Dr_Murrow.png' for writing: No such file or directory in /home/a5525277/public_html/playerlist/receiver.php on line 311
This is what happened when a player joined my server and I had faces enabled. For now I just disabled faces.
@Flabaliki I dont know if you saw or not but me and atleast three other people were asking if theres a way to turn off the log in the consol. it spams the crap out of the console maby add an option to disable it in config?
I also want to add that it seems to crash our server if it cant update in the time expected.
This plugin has some bugs, for my server it constantly says the server is offline HOWEVER it DOES update the player list. This makes no sense.
@sohgnar
As was mentioned earlier, is there a possibility of disabling this console spam? Otherwise, excellent plugin and php tutorial!
Author, would it be possible to create a config option to disable console output entirely? Now that it's properly connected to the frontend, I would like to keep the plugin in the background. Please let us know if that is possible. Thanks!
@soulgriever92
I have complete root access on my box and webserver with all ports open and no filtered traffic and I also have some issues. Primarily with the online status and the spamming of it updating...
@diamondminerx
who is your host? they might not allow certain features that might be required to run this plugin properly i mean we are talking about an actively updating connection not all hosts allow that for example i dont think it would work if used on .webs
is there anyway to stop the consol from being spammed by the plugin everytime it refreshes? like disable the update message in the console
@diamondminerx
I also get this, and mine keeps saying my server is offline although it isn't.
Keeps spamming this. 17.03 21:57:05 [Server] INFO [Simple Player List] Can not connect to:
