been a while since last post, is this still working?
Thanks for creating and sharing this plugin. This seems like an interesting idea. The spam / permission issue does worry me though.
Could this be modified so that it does not require signs? Similar to how LWC works?
If it were signless, the amount of players that can be attached to the warning would not be limited. It could also be configured where the person that creates the alarm is the "owner" of that alarm and anyone else that wants to be added can issue a command to add themselves to the alert notice...but nobody can add others. This would prevent the spam abuse and remove the limitation of signs.
Example commands:
/silentalarm create - punch a noteblock and it creates an alarm (if not already created) and sets the person as the owner and 1st person to receive the alarm.
/silentalarm info - punch a noteblock and it shows the owner and all that are on the notify list
/silentalarm add - punch an alarm noteblock and it adds you to the alarm notice
/silentalarm remove - punch an alarm noteblock and it removes you from the alarm notice
/silentalarm removeall - Removes current player from any alarm defined on the server
Another idea in case you'd like the alarm owner to still add people but not force those people to be in the area, you could do a "/silentalarm add username" which then sends an "accept / deny" notice to the specified player. If they accept, then their name is attached to the alarm. This would only work if the player were online like teleport requests.
Thanks,

@Verthamon
Nope, it still works and I'm still supporting it.
So has this plugin been abandoned D= ?
@Joymo
I thought of the spamming problem shortly after creating the plugin, but I didn't like any of the solutions i could come up with. logging seems simple enough, I'll get a new release out asap.
Cool plugin! However, this is very easy to abuse by players spamming others with their signs.
Making it so people need to give permission somehow seems complex, but I would like to ask for one simple solution at least, logging. If you could add a line to the console log like:
[SimpleAlarm] Player X stepped on alarm [receivers: Dude, John, Bro]
Then it would be easy to find abuse by checking the log, being able to punish people 100% generally prevents abuse.
Thanks!
awesome its out
cool i think some peps would like to have this
@matthiasvd2
It's the real sound that the noteblock would normally play, except it sounds like its coming from right inside your head (close and loud))
Is it a real sound or just a text message?
Should be soon, its been waiting for approval for over 12h now.
Hope It Comes Soon Lookes Epic
