Shopkeepers
Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.
Known potential issues
A list of known potential issues of the latest version of Shopkeepers can be found in the wiki: This documents differences between Minecraft/Spigot versions, and existing Minecraft/Spigot issues related to Shopkeepers.
If you run into an issue, check if this list already contains and maybe offers information on how to handle it.

Want to help?
The less I have to do myself, the more time I have to write plugins. Therefore I am looking for someone who would be willing to get involved in the project. That could for example mean:
- Keeping the documentation (the wiki) up-to-date with plugin updates.
- Improving the existing documentation.
- Creating and maintaining translations.
- Help managing issues and answering questions of users.
If you are a programmer with experience in writing bukkit plugins, or have ideas on how you can contribute to the project beyond that, let me know as well! If you are interested, feel free to contact me via PM.
Beyond that, everybody is invited to help others with issues and questions in the issue tracker, comment section, and the discord channel! Also consider contributing translations!
Third-Party Add-On Plugins
Sometimes a feature is either to specific to include it directly into the Shopkeepers plugin, or I did not yet have the time to add something similar myself. The plugins listed here extend the functionality of the Shopkeepers plugin.
These plugins are maintained by other community members. If you run into issues while using any of these add-ons, try to first reproduce your problem without any add-ons before you report it.
ShopkeepersNavAddon(abandoned): Adds inventory-based GUIs that allow you to browse all player shops, all admin shops, and to find shops that trade a specific type of item. You can teleport to a particular shopkeeper by clicking a button inside the GUI.
This plugin also integrates support for trading with Vault-based currency, but does so by replacing Shopkeepers' normal trade handling.
If you have also written an add-on plugin and want it listed here, let me know!
Thanks for update :) good job
@John__B
i believe this was due to villagers being updated by mojang in vanilla minecraft (if you updated to 1.6) meaning that the coding used to create shopkeepers needs to be updated to correspond to the new code of the vanilla(regular) villagers, so if you have shopkeepers, as i do this is what i have done and will do: 1) make sure they are trapped in spawn so they don't wander too far and die 2) use essentials which i'm sure you already have, to have temporary sign shops for your items 3)wait for the plugin to be updated by the author to correspond with the new villager coding 4) and then once there is a newer version of the plugin all you simply have to do is restart the server once so that bukkit can refresh/update your plugins meaning that shopkeepers will be updated 5(drastic action): this is only in a worst case scenario, but if the plugin is not updated within a week or 2 just delete it as it only takes up space and will most likely simply cause problems with bukkit everytime you start up since only the development build is available which is not well trusted, and just use essentials shop signs as many other servers do, or find an alternative.
Good Luck! -daugvydas120
This happened, not sure what it was, i wasnt online at the time.
@Den40208
Sorry i'm drunk. "I am really in need of a 1.6 version of this plugin. Is there an ETA?
@Daffy22
It's nice that you're trying to help, but having external downloads causes more confusion. It's also technically against the rules.
@Waterworth12
This is a new option that was added in 1.13.4.
@John__B
I suspect it will already work fine.
any plans to disable nametags (the item) being used on villagers? or is that already added?
@nisovin
Villager name tags aren't always shown.
I'm not sure why you removed my post with an updated version of this plugin. I'm not trying to compete with you or anything. I just wanted to help the people who's servers rely on this plugin. It's a bit rude if you ask me.
Beta build:
http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/shopkeepers/files/33-v1-14-1/
(Likely won't be approved for a while)
@Metablader
The disabling code is actually necessary. If it wasn't necessary it wouldn't be there. Without an update it wouldn't just be half-broken, it would be completely broken.
@Vlaminations
Difficulty verse time frame, everyone has their reasons. I was saying a sad point not a hey get to work point.
@nisovin
Truely noted on the ugly code it's just more saddening. Only stores that ever work was the vitureal stuff was my point. Point I did have a idea if you could build a mod of this i'm sure it'd be used if you every wanted to go that way.
It dosent enable on startup in 1.6, good luck :D Appreciate the work
This mod is amazing and my server pretty much depends on it, now i know 1.6 has only been out for a couple of days and i'm not saying 'update it' but what i would like is if the feature that the plugin disables itself could be removed because i think the plugin won't give any problems with 1.6 yet but it just disables itself when I try to start it. If you could either disable that feature as some people might just rather have a half-broken plugin than a plugin that won't function at all. And the curious guy i am i've taken a look at the source code and i believe this can be changed in the ShopkeepersPlugin.java (i can't code myself, i just know how to read it) and maybe you could disable this or update the plugin, whichever comes first. Thank you

@CoffeeNutz
There is no API for some of the things I do. That means I have to use the server code directly. The problem with a lot of other server software is they don't deobfuscate their code like CraftBukkit does, which means I have to dig around in ugly code to find what I need, and I just don't care to do that. You may not see the difficulty, but it's not as simple as it seems. Having to maintain support for multiple different servers that are all slightly different would be a nightmare.
@CoffeeNutz
Dude if its not that difficult do it yourself?
You know i use to love this mod. But once i moved over to tekkit/hexxit/voltz and had to use bukkitforge/mcpc+/forgeloader Ithis plugin and many like it refuse to either A. try to support it or B. care about trying to support.
It's a real shame only the virtual stores work and none of the physical stores are. I dont see the diffaculty in opening these pluggins that direction.. For it'd only increase your downloads drastically.
Plugin has broken on 1.6.1 Bukkit Beta Builds!.
Hopefully this gets updated to 1.6.1 asap!
I found the reason mine were being deleted: http://pastebin.com/3Av8ztTp
@gameacid13
He updated two weeks ago, give him some time to breathe. :) There's nothing that would say he's abandoning the plugin or anything.
@PhanaticD
My save.yml isn't getting deleted, the Shopkeepers just seem to disappear and reappear every go often.
