Shopkeepers
Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.
Known potential issues
A list of known potential issues of the latest version of Shopkeepers can be found in the wiki: This documents differences between Minecraft/Spigot versions, and existing Minecraft/Spigot issues related to Shopkeepers.
If you run into an issue, check if this list already contains and maybe offers information on how to handle it.

Want to help?
The less I have to do myself, the more time I have to write plugins. Therefore I am looking for someone who would be willing to get involved in the project. That could for example mean:
- Keeping the documentation (the wiki) up-to-date with plugin updates.
- Improving the existing documentation.
- Creating and maintaining translations.
- Help managing issues and answering questions of users.
If you are a programmer with experience in writing bukkit plugins, or have ideas on how you can contribute to the project beyond that, let me know as well! If you are interested, feel free to contact me via PM.
Beyond that, everybody is invited to help others with issues and questions in the issue tracker, comment section, and the discord channel! Also consider contributing translations!
Third-Party Add-On Plugins
Sometimes a feature is either to specific to include it directly into the Shopkeepers plugin, or I did not yet have the time to add something similar myself. The plugins listed here extend the functionality of the Shopkeepers plugin.
These plugins are maintained by other community members. If you run into issues while using any of these add-ons, try to first reproduce your problem without any add-ons before you report it.
ShopkeepersNavAddon(abandoned): Adds inventory-based GUIs that allow you to browse all player shops, all admin shops, and to find shops that trade a specific type of item. You can teleport to a particular shopkeeper by clicking a button inside the GUI.
This plugin also integrates support for trading with Vault-based currency, but does so by replacing Shopkeepers' normal trade handling.
If you have also written an add-on plugin and want it listed here, let me know!
Hey I was just wondering if the users get the revenue from the shops and if they do how do they get the revenue
In reply to DawntheFoxOP:
Player shops store their items (stock and traded items) inside their shop chest which the owner of the shop can access.
Hey, my villager shops no longer rotate to look at the player and are all fixed facing south, is this something I have to change in the new update? Can't get them to rotate at all. All existing shops in the world and new ones are doing this.
Regards
In reply to Forge_User_74434314:
You are probably using an outdated version of the Shopkeepers plugin. Updating to v2.11.0 should resolve your issue.
In reply to blablubb:
Ah damn you are right, theres me thinking I was on the recent release, thanks a bunch blab, awesome work as always.
v2.11.0 for MC 1.16.2, 1.16.1, 1.15.2, 1.14.4

Great plugin!
It would be awesome if after uninstalling the plugin, the villagers were still there.
It's very heavy on my performance and I would prefer to use it to just make trades with items with very specific NBT data.
Please.
But After all it's awesome! just extremely resource intensive.
In reply to Eltodofull:
The villagers spawned by the plugin should be far less performance intensive than corresponding vanilla villagers, because most parts of their vanilla AI and behavior is either disabled or replaced by an own implementation.
If you have performance issues, please open a ticket over at github and post some concrete timing and spark reports.
If you have lots of physics updates on your server, you could disable sign shops. If you don't use player shops, you could disable the 'prevent-item-movement' setting. Also see the wiki on performance: https://github.com/Shopkeepers/Shopkeepers-Wiki/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#my-servers-timings-report-shows-that-shopkeepers-is-using-lots-of-my-servers-processing-time
Regarding keeping villagers spawned: Removing the villagers again is actually a feature to guard against server crashes / improper server shutdowns and entity identification and duplication issues one would have to deal with otherwise (the plugin actually worked this way in the past but was plagued by these kinds of severe issues due to this..).
Also, the plugin doesn't actually configure villager trades the way it seems: The spawned villagers don't actually contain the trades you see when you open the trading window. Instead it basically creates a new 'virtual villager trading session' whenever a player interacts with a shopkeeper. This allows for other mobs, or even other objects such as signs, to be used in place of villagers.
The plugin is also doing so much more beyond just setting up villager trades.. especially to implement the player shops.
If you simply look for a convenient way to configure the trades of vanilla villagers, this plugin is not it..
You might want to checkout the online available villager trade / summon command generators. For trades with more advanced item NBT data you simply have to tweak the generated command accordingly.
However, since you are not the first one asking for something like this, I have opened this feature request ticket: https://github.com/Shopkeepers/Shopkeepers/issues/673
In reply to Eltodofull:
I added an (experimental) editor for vanilla villagers (and wandering traders) in the latest snapshot: https://nexus.lichtspiele.org/repository/snapshots/com/nisovin/shopkeepers/Shopkeepers/2.11.0-SNAPSHOT/Shopkeepers-2.11.0-20200801.230352-3.jar
This snapshot also includes a bunch of other changes and various message changes which need to be applied manually in case you are updating. So if you want to test this, see the full changlog over at github and consider making a backup of your shopkeeper data and config.
How do I get custom mobs to be a shopkeeper, such as a wither skeleton?
In reply to bahhhhhhhhhh:

Suggestion
Hello there... we use this plugin on a server and absolutely love it! Amazing work with it!
However, we do have one request which we wonder if it could be added;
Our server is split into 2 parts, Star Wars and Wizardry World of Harry Potter, and for the Star Wars part we would love if we could sell droids using Jawas, the Jawas are armour pieces put on a baby zombie... so our question is:
Would it be possible for you to add a way of us to put armour on zombie shopkeepers?
Sincerely the MindCorp Admin Team
In reply to Bestsson:
Being able to change the equipment of shopkeeper mobs is on the todo list, but I have no time to work on this currently / other priorities.
However, you could use the Citizens integration and use a shopkeeper citizens npc. I am pretty sure that Citizens supports setting the armor of the NPCs.
Hey how do I rotate the shopkeepers? I'm trying to make a shop but the villager is facing the wrong way.
In reply to Forge_User_14195200:
Shopkeepers should automatically rotate towards nearby (visible) players. If they don't, then you are probably not using the latest version of Shopkeepers. If you are using some server hoster to install the plugin: Some server hosters are not always up-to-date and will install an outdated an not properly working version of Shopkeepers.
Is there a way to find the location of previously placed shopkeepers?
