Shopkeepers
Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.

Want to help?
The less I have to do myself, the more time I have to write plugins. Therefore I am looking for someone who would be willing to get involved in the project. That could for example mean:
- Keeping the documentation (the wiki) up-to-date with plugin updates.
- Improving the existing documentation.
- Creating and maintaining translations.
- Help managing issues and answering questions of users.
If you are a programmer with experience in writing bukkit plugins, or have ideas on how you can contribute to the project beyond that, let me know as well! If you are interested, feel free to contact me via PM.
Beyond that, everybody is invited to help others with issues and questions in the issue tracker, comment section, and the discord channel! Also consider contributing translations!
Third-Party Add-On Plugins
Sometimes a feature is either to specific to include it directly into the Shopkeepers plugin, or I did not yet have the time to add something similar myself. The plugins listed here extend the functionality of the Shopkeepers plugin.
These plugins are maintained by other community members. If you run into issues while using any of these add-ons, try to first reproduce your problem without any add-ons before you report it.
ShopkeepersNavAddon(abandoned): Adds inventory-based GUIs that allow you to browse all player shops, all admin shops, and to find shops that trade a specific type of item. You can teleport to a particular shopkeeper by clicking a button inside the GUI.
This plugin also integrates support for trading with Vault-based currency, but does so by replacing Shopkeepers' normal trade handling.
If you have also written an add-on plugin and want it listed here, let me know!
@fuzyfeet
Thank you :-)

There's a donate link at the very top of the page (in the tab bar area).
@Nastajja
Sounds like you have another plugin that is interfering. Throwing eggs isn't a default action of Minecraft.
When right-clicking on the air, it just throws the egg. I can't find a way to change the shopkeeper type. :(
I'd like to thank you for this great plugin. I might not be able to donate at the moment, but I'd like to give you a donation in the near future, if you keep this up. Where will this be possible?
i keep getting an internal error occerred while attempting to preform this command. when i try and do /shopkeepers pm me if someone can help
@darkdemon42
It does this already.
@MathiasVerden
My guess is you have some plugin that is interfering with villager spawning.
Shopkeepers seem to disappear completely. My server restarts every 24hour, so there's not much use for it if shopkeepers disappear every 24hour.
could you make it so that villager stay still? I want them to stay behind counters without boxing them in.
@mindofbeholder
You're probably in creative mode.
For futur plan, do like chestshop, and add support to towny by having an option to only allow those shopekeeper inside a towny's shop lot.
I seem to be unable to create shopkeepers with villager spawn eggs. I can only create the sell shopkeepers using the /shopkeeper command (I would like to be able to create the book & buy shopkeepers as well).
I right click into the air with a villager spawn egg and no text appears. I then right click on the chest and it simply opens the chest. When I then right click on the ground it spawns a normal villager whom I cannot interact with (as it should be, considering the default configs of the plugin) and I have no shop D:
The configuration file was generated by the plugin itself and I haven't edited it.
The only other plugins i'm using are essentials and towny.
I'm OP and have given myself all the permission nodes as I am the owner of my server.
Suggestions?
Since RyanDT13 seems to be asleep or something, I looked it up and here is his video.

WHERE IS THE VIDEO :-) I want my son to see it
@Ganzor
an admin shop creating an infinite supply does not ruin the economy what ruins an economy in a game, is players selling an infinite amount of stuff with no limits. I have controlled this very well with the plugin "creative control" which allows you to disable interaction with villagers while in creative mode as well as separate their inventory between creative and survival.. Limit things they can use during creative mode making them need to use the economy to gain certain things they want. I have a server with a bunch of 9 and 10 year olds (my son and his friends) and they want to be able to be creative and they like the economy stuff. but it is a difficult thing to balance. This plugin is a perfect marriage with "creative control"
I don't know what you are looking to do on your server but this plugin works great for players to set up trades. trading with a currency allows people to be able to get what they want easier then trading 4 or 5 times with other players to get the item they need to trade for what they want.

Neat plugin! I noticed something strange though: if you close the the admin config GUI without clicking the emerald block, the villager will retain its modified offers, and can be traded as such, but the offers are reset upon reload to the last time you clicked the emerald block. Is this intentional?
I've made a tutorial video on this plugin, it's just uploading now, about 11 minutes remaining :)
@Ganzor
If nothing in the game had value, then trading resources wouldn't work either. Everything in the game has value. Sure, there's an infinite supply of all resources, but there is not an infinite supply of time. When you want to purchase iron from another player, you're really paying for the time it took them to gather it. This is especially true in a game like Minecraft, where anyone can go gather anything they want. It's not a matter of not being able to gather the resource, it's a matter of having time to do so.
The entire idea behind a currency is to enable easy trading. The problem with allowing players to set up shops for any trade is that it can be difficult to find a trade that works for you. Say you want to buy some cobble, but you only have wood and sand in your inventory. You find a store that will sell you some cobble for dirt. Now you've gotta go find yourself some dirt. Or maybe look for another shop, but perhaps that one will sell cobble for gravel, which you also don't have. Going shopping when you don't know what items you will need to trade with would just be discouraging.
A standardized currency removes this problem. If you want to buy some cobble, you already know it's going to cost emeralds. Now the only question is whether you have enough. You can still perform the same trades you could have before (cobble for dirt), you just have to use a currency in between. Not a big deal.
There's a reason the world moved on to using currency long ago. It makes trading much easier. As long as you make sure the currency itself has value, then players can use it to buy items they need and sell items they don't need.
I don't see how letting users select what they want to accept in trade for their items is a "fixed" system. The problem with using a currency is there is no inherent value to anything in the game. There's infinite amounts of everything. I was looking for a system that would allow people to trade items they don't currently want/need need for items they do want/need even when they're not online.
I have no interest in running an economy plugin, so a standard shop plugin that uses fictional coins will do me no good.
I'll have to think about ways I can make this plugin work for me, if at all.
@Ganzor
If you are looking for player owned shops that use currencies such as iConomy, Boseconomy and such; I highly recommend using Showcase or ShowCaseStandalone. Both of them create showcases with items floating above them, and they are both very user friendly.

Thank you for creating this plugin, if this works correctly, you may have just saved me from having to use showcase on yes another one of my servers :D
@Ganzor
Users can decide what to buy and sell, they just use a currency to do so. I'm really not understanding why you're so against the idea. A currency works so much better than a fixed trading system, it enables trading by providing a common item to trade with.
This plugin works well because you don't have to worry about memorizing complicated commands or sign syntax. Creating a system for trading any item for any other items would make the interface much more complex, which is something I absolutely do not want.
This plugin can be used in place of a sign shop plugin, you just have to accept the fact that you will be using a currency item. Don't most shop plugins use currency anyway? What's the big deal? I think you're making this more complicated than it needs to be.
