Hi there, I may have a bug, i am trying to change the config file but its overwritten every time i reload the plugin. I am trying to get 10 shields instead of 64.
Also out of curiosity, what was your motivation to make the shield a stack rather then using the durability bar like tools and swords have?
@firecopy NP, and I replied to your PM
@eatzurface
Fixed, thank you.
You may want to fix the version on your thread; the title says 0.9, but the post says 0.8 still.
Ability to change Shield's messages coming soon!
Good plugin! LOL
Please make possible to do shields from every types of planks.
hey @firecopy, Would you like me to create a SpoutPlugin addition to this plugin? If so, I would subbmit you a PR on github when SpoutPlugin is updated to 1.4.2. (which is soon).
There would still be no need to use Spoutcraft, it just would enhance the experience even more. And I f you want to do it yourself... great!
I really enjoy that your code is open-source. :)
Thank you for the suggestions guys. If I have time, I will implement them.
@firecopy
Hey, I love all of your plugins, and I have a suggestion for this plugin that would make it waaayy better in my opinion. When holding the shield, could you add the potion effect fire resistance so you can't get caught on fire when holding the shield? This plugin works great already but players get set on fire and it eventually ends up killing them. Please consider my suggestion :D It would make my server sooo much better.
Hey can you add a file where you can customize the "You were protected by your shield" messages? I would rather have the messages be much shorter. Perhaps, "Attack blocked!".
@Blackhawk185
Pm me the ip, I might visit it sometime.
Fuuuuu-That comment didn't work at ALL. Ummm, could you come on my server sometime?
<<reply 837865>>
plans about making this spout supported?
And I have could you add an energy shield using the item id 9? Just make it so you can't place the block without a permission. (Somthing like shield.eshield.place Edit: I've thought about this more. I want it to be a layered bubble shield with the player in the middle. This layout is viewing it from the top in layers. O=Air W=Water Layer 1 (Bottom): OWO WOW OWO Layer 2 (Middle): OWO WOW OWO Layer 3 (Top): OOO OWO OOO I want this to slow the player to sneaking speed. (You could just use a potion effect thought.) Make it so mobs can't get through, but you can attack through it. (Something you might want to be careful of, the player won't be able to move with the shield activated if you can't go some way into the water. Maybe make it so mobs can't go through the air surrounding the outside of the shield.) Activate it by left clicking while holding item id 9. As for a crafting recipe: R=Redstone W=Bucket of Water (Make it only consume the water please.) WWW WRW WWW Well, it looks good so far. This took a while to type. (Man I love designing this plugin :D)
It's looking good Fire :D Question though, what are you planning on using as the other types of shields?
@KingArthurIII
Yeah... Actual durability is what I wanted to have. It wasn't as easy as i thought :P. If I find a way to use it I will.
@bananman
Wait for 1.4... :P
@Quinnatator
Thanks. Expect great updates when the 1.4 modding api comes out!
@Moomius
You didn't hurt my feelings by pointing out a valid mistake :P Everybody makes them. I will fix that in the next update.
