SGTitles
SGTitles
This plugin allows for users to have "collections" of titles. Titles can be rewarded for anything you want and can be created at any time using in-game commands. We also support several plugins for direct integration for achievement based title reward. Titles can also automatically be given out based on permission groups.
Award titles for winning a contests, being a veteran on your server, etc. Users can change their title as they wish! Achievement based titles offer something for users to strive for. Group based titles can be used to give your special ranks unique titles! There is no limit to what you can do!
This is my first public plugin release so I hope you enjoy it!
Features
- Users can switch between multiple titles
- Supports prefix and suffix titles separately!
- A title needs to be granted for a user to set it
- Only one prefix and suffix can be active at a time
- Permission group based titles
- Optional color command for users to change their name color
- Permissions for every command! Limit access where you desire
- Integration with several other plugins for achievement based title rewards
Optional Supported Plugins
mcMMO - Servers running McMMO can award titles when a user reaches a certain skill level! Titles can be customized per-skill. For example: 250 archery awards the title "Marksman"
Heroes - Servers running Heroes can have their players rewarded a title when they master a class! You can also configure it to reward the title without mastering the class.
DeathTpPlus - Titles can be rewarded for kill streaks and multi kills. You can customize at what streaks titles are given out!
Spout - Servers running Spout will see a players currently selected title show up over their head!
Installation and Requirements
SGTitles requires Vault
Simply place SGTitles.jar in your plugins folder and start the server! The config.yml will be generated automatically! Visit the configuration page for more information on changing your config.yml.
Configuration
Usage
Read this if you are having issues!
- SGTitles modifies the display name of players. So if you are not seeing a title show up it means that you have another plugin also overwriting player display names. The most common culprit of this is Essentials. (It can be disabled in the essentials config)
Planned Features
This section is also a planned feature ;)
@Schlumpf9
Both chat and over the players head. Seeing a players title change over their head requires the spout client though.
Hi, nice to hear this ;)
Maybe you could add mysql support :D? This would be awesome, so we could give the titles easily out on a homepage and let the users change their titles on the homepage, would this be possible?
Another question:
Is this Plugin only for the name above the Player or also for the chat?
@SmashboxGaming
I did indeed die. Back now though!
I think this guy died

Help me please.
if it is because of lack of update than that's fine.
Y u no update?
Any chance of adding a default title automatically set to players?
How do I use colors: Bold Italic Strikethrough Underline In a title (these are new in 1.2.4 I can use them in a name but not in a title cause i dont know their codes)

@Namulator
yea it would be nice to have spaces in the title or in between the title and name
Is there a way, or can you add a way to allow for spaces in titles (In the data area of the create/modify command)?
@scts
thanks man :D
@code0
Sure can. I will make it so you can set titles to other players as well.
/title color [color] - Type without a color to get a list of all available colors. Typing the command with a color changes the users name color
could you add a feature that lets me change other peoples colors instead of them having it to do it?
@scts
Sent ya a PM :) - No created titles will show + other issues.
@SmashboxGaming
Very odd. Can you give me the title's details? The one not showing up? Or are no created titles showing up at all?
Having an issue displaying the title in the list. The users cannot see the title, nor can I, but they are able to apply it via the command. This applies to created titles only.
thanks dadaemon, I have been using the same Essentials config file for a long time now and I never had that in there :( everything's working now, thanks guys :)
@masterkazoom
Removing stuff from the config won't mean it will be disabled! It will probably default to true (as that is the default value in the config.) You're missing this line:
@scts:
I'm sorry for being so persistent, but I still haven't solved my problem. I copied my Essentials config.yml in the pastebin in my last comment, if you could take a look for me, I couldn't find anything in there that would potentially interfere with SGTitles :(
thanks in advance :)
