ServerSigns

This project has not been abandoned completely - it's just been lacking some love & care for the past year; I plan to continue development and fix any outstanding issues in the new year. Thank you for your continued support of ServerSigns - Exloki
ServerSigns (SVS) provides the ability to bind player-dispatched and server-disptached commands, messages and actions to signs and every other block in Minecraft.
As soon as a player clicks on a ServerSign, the configured actions are executed in the order and with the settings you specified.
Source: https://github.com/serversigns/ServerSigns
Main Features:
- No limit: Unlimited commands per ServerSign
- Multi-role: Assign a variety of actions whenever a sign is clicked (even define different commands for right/left clicks)
- Messages: Send messages to the player
- Broadcasts: Send messages to the whole server
- Player commands: Executes commands as if the player typed it in chat
- Server commands: Executes commands as if it was executed from the server console
- Delayed actions: Any action can be delayed (from seconds to months)
- Looped actions: Any ServerSign can be converted to loop server commands with defined intervals
- Require permissions: ServerSigns can be set up to require permissions to use
- Grant permissions: Grants players temporary permissions to execute the commands
- Per-sign costs: Bind exp, money, and item costs to ServerSigns
- Protected: Automatically protects every ServerSign and any attached blocks.
- Basic scripting: Implement if/else and return statements in commands on ServerSigns
Please note that version 2.6 and above will notify you when a ServerSigns developer joins, this is so you're aware of who we are when we join, and we can help you with any issues you may be having with ServerSigns as quickly as possible. Version 4.1 and above will also send the developer a message stating the current plugin version.
This plugin utilizes an auto-updating feature that will check for the latest ServerSigns build and automatically download that build if it is newer than the currently installed one. This can be disabled by setting 'check_for_updates' to false in the config.yml
This plugin uses Metrics to gather basic non-identifiable statistical data such as the number of ServerSigns you are using, your plugin version, and other standard mcstats.org data. You can opt-out of this feature by setting 'metrics_opt_out' to true in the config.yml. A full list of gathered information can be found here: http://mcstats.org/plugin/ServerSigns

Reporting Bugs / Requesting Features
When reporting bugs, requesting features, or providing any other constructive feedback that will require code alterations you must submit a ticket to have your voice heard and action taken (if required). Any topics of this nature that arise in the comments section will henceforth be ignored.
Before you raise a ticket, you need to make sure that the feature you are requesting isn't already implemented (read all of the help pages which show SVS features), or the bug you want fixed hasn't already been resolved in the latest development build (a rolling change log is kept on the development build page, use this for reference)
When submitting a ticket, please be as descriptive and informative as possible. If reporting a bug or flaw, then show all the steps required to reproduce the problem, also attach any and all related screenshots or other files to the ticket. If requesting a new feature, then please be as detailed as possible so we have a very clear idea of what it is you're suggesting - that way if we do implement your suggestion, this ensures it is exactly as you want it to be.
Once you have submitted a ticket, rest assured that it will be handled. We do not give a definite time frame for replies or actual alterations, but we try our absolute best to get tickets resolved as soon as possible. Please do not: bump tickets, raise multiple tickets for the same issue, send PMs to our developers, or discuss the ticket in the comments section. Tickets that do not meet the expectations outlined here will likely be declined without comment.
someone please help me! i can't figure this out! I have serveral groups in my permissions and i want to make it so that when you hit the sign you go from being a default to a member or whatever the next rank is.
So this is what i have been doing /serversigns add pex user hallowhead1 right clicking the sign /svs sp defualt right clicking
no in my permission nodes under defualt i have serversigns.custom.defualt
@craftopia
updated, use /svs confirmation true to set a confirmation.
But File needs approval....
Thanks, I was doing that manual message... that became such a burdon, but i understand.
As soon as the payment confirmation becomes optional i will update :) For now I just tell my members to be patient.
@craftopia
You can add the text they paid for it yourself by easily adding a line with <message> you paid x amount or whatever.
As stated before it will become optional. be patient
I need an update to this please. Make the confirmation optional, and if possible put a new text when someone does purchase something, indicating they spent X amount. No confirmation necessary, they know what they are doing. But sometimes they hit the sign twice cause there is nothing telling them they've done so.
Oh, and i am using 1.6 until the confirmation is optional... and the plugin keeps spamming my chat with "please update" :( I wish I could....
@Genij
that doesn't work, you need to test for if the currency amount is over the cost before they buy it. What's the point otherwise?
it's fine though now i have it working with the alias command. Not using the set price method, the test for whether they can afford or not is now in CH.
@Uzalu
Well if it is a different currency there is a different way of paying instead of the set price.
You could just add the command to deduct the money from the pocket it needs to be deducted from. That would also remove the confirmation of the payment considering you added the line instead of using the plugins method.
But we will be working on making it configurable
okay, my enormous bad, apparently CH has a built in command for using aliases with other plugins. Sorry to waste your time and space on the page. a couple of things though: - can you make the purchase confirmation message optional or at least configurable? i think this has been asked, but i'd like to second the motion. - your reply misunderstood what i was doing in my example. I used a custom second economy, a temporary value, set to 100 before every battle and used to buy items. Your reply did help me though, i will likely use the set price command, as long as the message is configurable.
Thanks!
You could just make a sign with
/svs add <server> give <player> item amount
and add a price to the sign with /svs setprice so I cant really say I see a reason to support that plugin?
Hi there, this is a great plugin, but i have a feature request: The thing i liked the absolute most about commandsigns was the fact that it worked with CommandHelper's custom commands. (http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/misc-commandhelper-3-2-0-repeat-commands-aliases-advanced-command-scripting-1000.4669/)
I totally understand that CH is a bit outdated right now, but it still works, and it's utterly invaluable to my server. Feel free to have this as a low priority if any at all, but i'm sure if it can help me, it can help others.
in case you are interested, what i used to have was a PvP shop system. Before every arena battle, combatants could effectively build a class, by using a stored value of PvPGold to buy armour, weapons and food. I scripted the entire thing with CH, and now i can't do it at all, with any plugins.
Thanks in advance!
I also need the price-confirmation to be optional... i use this & assign the give command to buttons, so people can purchase items. Buying a stack would require them to /svs yes 64 times :\
LOVE this plugin! Is it possible in any way, shape, or form to add the ability for the commands to be emulated as a user? Want to be able to cut down on my plugin usage and use serversigns to reset regions, however worldguard doesn't allow for it. Would also be nice to avoid having to have the messages that I have sent to users from the console as information to come from a "bot" or emulated user instead of the console.
@natbyte
We will make a note of it for next version thank you
Thanks for the great plugin, we use it over on our server minecraftserver.com and have done for a while now, very much appreciated, I have one suggestion if possible.
We use this plugin for parts of our banking system, you have now added into the 1.7 version the feature that if the sign has a cost associated with it, the player needs to manually confirm the charge with a typed yes or no command, any chance of having this charge confirmation mechanic toggleable? So with some signs it can be turned off, and have the buying behavior of the older versions of the plugin with no text input required :)
@CalibeR50
OMG! thanks a loooot :D! really apreciate it :3!
@BenjiTF
done, download Version 1.6
@CalibeR50
sweet! thanks CalibeR50 :P!
@BenjiTF
the cooldown is stored as an Integer. A Integer has a max value of 2.147.483.647. The cooldown is in ms, so the max cooldown is only 24days. Hm, I thought it is more, but jeah, an infinite value is easy to code, I'll code it in the next version. Thanks
Hi! what a nice plugin! really apreciate it :D! just one question about the cooldown.. ¿is there a way to set infinite cooldown? (just to use the sign once! and no more!) like -1 or something :P! would be amazing for events rewards! thx in advance :D
@Genij
k, sorry, I couldn't read the doecumentation cause I was in a hurry. Great plugin by the way :)
