ServerCross

ServerCross development has been taken over by the New Eden Development Team. Development will resume soon, the next release will priorities specific features:

  • Migration of data in previous version from Usernames to UUIDs, ideally providing backwards compatibility for older version of Bukkit/Spigot that do not support UUIDs by default.
  • Possible code rewrite and any updates required for Bukkit/Spigot 1.8 Support

What is ServerCross?

ServerCross is a plugin to help link multiple servers and alleviate some of the problems created by managing them. Currently, ServerCross's only feature is that it links the bans across the servers. On a normal server, it is easy enough to just type /ban and have them added to the logs, but when it comes to running multiple servers, it can be more difficult. Some of the time they just have separate ban logs or maybe the staff goes on both servers and runs the command. With this plugin, I allow the staff to run one command and ban them across both servers. How do you do this?! It actually isn't that complicated. This is where the requirement for the MySQL database comes in. When the server first starts up and has a connection with the database, an empty table is created. Then, while in game, if you use one of the commands (/xban or /xunban) it runs a MySQL query that will either create an entry in the table with the player name, the person they were banned by, and the reason. Or, on the other hand, removing the entry with that person's name. While this plugin is only needed by select administration, it will hopefully bridge the gap created by having separate servers.

What Do I Need To Run This?

Right now, all you need is an empty MySQL database. They are free to use and are not very intensive so they should be able to run alongside your server just fine.

I Need Help!
