RPG Block Log
This is a simple light weight plugin made for my server, but I was asked to make it public.
It is designed to provide reporting about blocks on the server with a history.
It was designed to be used to detect griefing.
It has 1 command and 1 permission:
Command: /bCheck
Permission: BlockLog.bCheck (default is OP)
It REQUIRES MySql (not Lite)
** Awaiting approval, jar has been submitted.
Install:
Copy jar file into your plugins folder and start your server.
This will generate the config file in plugins/blocklog.
STOP your server.
Edit the config file so the settings will fit for your MySQL server installation.
Restart and the Database, and Tables will be created, you're done.
Sample Config:
Data:
UserName: root
Server: 127.0.0.1
Database: BlockLog
Port: '3306'
MySql: 'true'
Password: password
*** NOTE Make sure your MySQL server is set up properly! Make sure you have more concurrent connections open than you have players/slots (I recommend double or triple the amount of slots). This will cause large amounts of latency if you do not set it up properly as every block place and break event is logged!
I highly suggest you read THIS it will help you tune your MySql server for better performance.
Also we do not log edits done from non standard place/break events, such as made by worldedit and super pick. These events are not logged!
Annoying comments, demands, and any other "Bad Attitude" comments, will be deleted. This plugin is presented AS IS. I will not make changes to it for anyone at any time. It is simple and it works. If you want bloatware go elsewhere.
@Imnotcreativeenough
Its not the others, it was written by me for my server, I put it up for others to use as is.. I will not be updating it or making changes to it at all. Sorry
But what's the difference between this and other blocklog plugins?
@yakudinov
This plugin uses the 1.7 version of java
I had the same problem with another plugin, The creator of that plugin said that I have got java 6
Now I have this error((
@yakudinov
I have uploaded a newer version, that has been confirmed to work. Not sure why the one you had produced those errors. When it gets approved, download it. Be sure to remove the old one and the RPGBlockLog directory and the config.yml inside it, then put the new jar in your plugins folder. Start your server, then stop it and modify the config.yml for your needs, then restart,
I have an error when i try to install this plugin
Can you help me? I really need this plugin
@XepherLink
Well it only records data after you install it, also try breaking a block then stand where it was and do /bcheck
Says the plugin loaded correctly no mysql issues, but when i do /bCheck I dont receive any message
@XepherLink
I don't see why not, BUT doing that forces a reverse DNS look-up and that WILL slow it down quite a bit. The current version makes ONE connection to the DB and keeps it open to optimize the data transfers not having to open and close for each Insert or Select statement.
My Suggestion is to try it and if it does not work let me know and well get you sorted out.
does the plugin accept url's for database ip
@Danteland
It is as simple as you see above, it merely reports the history of activity in the location you are standing in, in the form of block breaks, and block placement. VERY simple way to help combat griefing.
What are the features of the plugin? Does it work like logblock?
