This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

RemovePlayerData

The idea of the plugin came from having a own server with a test user and we using allot of plugins but always there was some player data on the server so we needed to manualy delete it,

so i started creating this plugin and want to share it with others!

With this plugin you can remove player data from your server with a simple command.

it removes player.dat and user specific data out your . YML Config files but only the user segment.

for example if you using PermissionsEx: Permissions.yml

users:
     1fde6d51-8f32-46b6-891e-9784c433d3b0:
     group:
     - Mod

users:
     ExamplePlayer:
     group:
     - Mod

it removes by PlayerName or UUID (1fde6d51-8f32-46b6-891e-9784c433d3b0)

the rest will be untouched.

Console Only Commands:

You can call the plugin by rp and remove player data with

rp ExamplePlayer it will search for the UUID and removes all associated data.

the plugin is not available ingame.

I suggest you add a configurable option for this to be a console-only command; I see this as really not necessary on a day to day basis for running a server, but an owner might like to delete excess player data of old players. Admins however could abuse this and it could possibly be a form of griefing. Maybe have the console-only option enabled by default.

Second suggestion is that you delete players' data in world playerdata when using the command.

And indeed its only for owners thats why its stated in Admin Tools category since i didn't find another one.

also itys only possible to use this plugin when the player is offline where you try to delete the data from.

I'm familiar with that, but some owners give operator to some administrators and will have this permission unless explicitly removed/negated. For some potentially harmful commands, some people limit them in this way (for example: you could easily as a rogue admin delete all the blocklog data in CoreProtect and prevent rolling back as an admin if it weren't for /co purge requiring the data to be 30 days old).

Yes, owners should properly manage their permissions and for this command probably only permit themselves to do it, but this is basically the equivalent of deleting files, which is something not even ops on servers can regularly do (you have to have file access on the server).

Yes. I suggest that this is enabled by default, so that owners will know what they're doing when they decide to allow it to be an ingame command as well.
