RegionJukebox
Is the default Minecraft music a little dull? Would you like to add atmospheric music to your regions? Now you can, with RegionJukebox! Setup your cemeteries with scary organ pipes, or your relaxing vacation home with nice chimes. Just define a region with WorldGuard and then assign either a Minecraft record or a custom resource pack sound to the region. Whenever a player enters the region, the music will play for that player!
Bring in Version 2.0! :D
Holy crap people! I finally did it! Version 2.0 is here! The one feature everyone has been asking for is here now. Drum roll please... Custom music! You can now assign regions to play sounds from resource packs. Just use the same name you use in the sounds.json file in the command. For those that still use the beautiful default Minecraft records, don't worry, you can still use those.
Music. Is. Everywhere. EVERYWHERE! The music now plays at a configurable "speaker" block in the region. If you configure the region to play from a note block, then the music will play from every note block in the region. This way you can have it play from different spots in the region, or even have it play from every grass block (I suggest not doing this, it's pretty intense).
Looping works wonderfully now. Looping is no longer a global setting, and can now be configured per region. The only thing that is needed to loop is the length of the music being played. For custom sounds, you're going to have to guess and check a little bit to get it right. For those using default Minecraft records, you don't even have to worry about it. The plugin already knows the lengths of each record, so you can just leave that argument out of the command.

If you really want the source code, go ahead and decompile the jar file. Really, I don't care. Do what you want!
QA:
Q: Is it possible to make the music play throughout the whole region?
A: Yes! Version 2.0 fixed that! You can configure a "speaker" block to play the sound out of. You then place the designated "speaker" block all around your region.
Q: Can you make the music fade when a player leaves the region?
A: Kind of... Depends on if you're using the default Minecraft records or not. If you're using the records, they stop pretty abruptly. If you're using custom sounds, I actually can't stop those from playing. So as the player walks away from the sound source, it will fade away. If you guys want the records to act the same way as the custom sounds, let me know. I can definitely do that.
Q: Can you add custom music?
A: Yes! Version 2.0 to the rescue again! You can now configure regions to play custom resource pack sounds. Just use the same sound name as the sound.json file.
Q: Can you fix the region within a region thing?
A: I could, but don't want to. That goes beyond the scope of simplicity. That also gets into region detection and that's a lot more complicated.
Another thing that comes up a lot is people telling me the plugin is unresponsive or the events stopped working. I would like to let you know how I handle these. I first see a comment and trying to recreate the problem, load the freshest plugin onto my server. My dev server is always, ALWAYS, running the latest build to keep up with the client. The plugins however, are not, as plugins do not need to run the latest build to stay stable. I then try to recreate the problem using the current available plugin version and the current server. Most of the time, it works. If something doesn't work for you, you can try to delete the plugin and the data folder, and reinstall a fresh copy. If the problem persists, please explain exactly what the problem is and/or a step by step on how to reproduce the problem. Telling me "it doesn't work" doesn't help me at all.

@FunnyGopher
The music not playing right away issue was fixed by updating to Worldguard dev build #841
Thank you! =)
P.S. Another issue is that whenever players teleport into the region, the soundtrack doesn't play. Might be another worldguard issue. If players are standing in the region then relog the music will begin =)

If there's no errors, and everything works other than the music playing, it can be a number of things.
Could be the beta build. Playing sound effects was a little odd in a couple builds. If it's not the build, could be other plugins interfering with it. I don't know what goes disrupting other plugins, but it could be.
Without an error log to tell me where the error (bug, problem, misfortune, whatever) occurs, it would take some trial and error to figure it out. Unfortunately, I can't recreate the problem, so I can't even begin to find out why it doesn't work... because it works for me...
@eagle132
Hmm. That's an odd problem. Oh oh! If your using a permissions plugin, make sure you give yourself the permission listed above. :) Try that and let me know what happens.
I'm having a bit of an issue with this plugin (which seems fantastic!). Basically... it's not responding to any commands. /rj does not have a response. The plugin is loaded and listed as running however.
Any ideas? I'm running the latest Beta build of Bukkit.
(((((((((((@FunnyGopher))))))))))))
Yes I know it looks like it works but when a player walks in, no music plays in the specific region that has it set to it...
@1248cooldude
I still don't understand what the problem is. Based on screenshot provided, you did everything correctly, you have the right plugins installed, and you were able to do all the right functions. All I see is that the plugin is working exactly as designed. What do you mean by select won't work in the region?
It gives no errors or any signs of it. For example; /region claim Test : /rj help : /rj set Test 3 : Tried restarting server but in the region select still wont work.
Heres a screenshot of what I do in chat... ScreenShot
@1248cooldude
If you could explain exactly what your problem is, I could try to help you. :)
I have had this plug-in before and didn't work the last time, I though I would try it again and I did but still does not work for some reason...
@CraftBonbon
Well thanks for trying it out! :D
Hmmm. Happens right away for me, maybe try a different song. There's no reason why it would wait a couple minutes to start playing. WGRegionEvents wouldn't be causing that either. Well, I take that back. It might be, but coming from a programming side, unlikely. But who knows?
@FunnyGopher:
I've recently installed this plugin and it looks very well implemented, however when a player enters the region, the song text appears but no sound plays until a couple minutes later. I am not sure if this is a bug or some limitation by minecraft.
Also, I notice that WGRegionEvents is not updated to 1.5.
Thank you
@TehWessah
Thanks! :D
Looks good, downloaded it ;)
@zrocweb
As far as I know, the latest build does reload saved regions on restart. The stop command would be player based, as only the player can hear the sound, so I don't completely understand the admin permission. More than one disc in a region is possible and sounds cool. I'll definitely look into it.
@zrocweb
I've never tested it with multiple worlds, so I have no idea. I'll have to look into that.
A few feature requests:
1) Fix the multiple region loopings 2) Add ability for regions created to save and load on server restarts) 3) Add admin node with admin command to /rj stop <region> disc from playing for CommandSender player.
Can you add an option for more than one disc in a region. Some discs are short and would like to alternate between a few of them in a specific region?
EDIT:
Found a bug. I defined two regions currently, one in main world and another in different world. When I enter the region in main world disc plays. When I go to the other world and enter the region that regions disc will start to play and then get cut-off and start playing the main worlds region disc. I was not even moving, just standing still. When it goes into the loop is it possible it's not looking at the region correctly? Seems like that might be the bug?
@Mre30
It works for 1.5 now! and no, it would have very little to no effect on the server. But that all depends on server specifications.
@cosalert
Sadly, no. That get's so technical its crazy. I don't even want to deal with it.
any chance of fixing the region in region problem ?? cuz when walk out and walk back in,only the music play
