This is my second public Bukkit plugin. Enjoy!
Are you tired of those player-killers who keep tracking down the new members on your server? Well, there is a solution! PvPTimer will protect players from PvP for a set amount of time, and during that time will be able to build and discover the server, without worrying about those pesky player-killers! :)

I am aware of the issues present. If PvPTimer 1.3 does not work for you, please downgrade to 1.2, this should fix your issues till I manage to issue a new build. Thanks everyone for being so patient!

Features
- New players get a cooldown of a configurable amount of time where they will be immune to PvP, but will not be able to hit anyone.
- Lots of other protections, too!
- Players can disable their protection at any time!

Planned features
- Prevent people from using McMMO special strikes. Not sure if this will be possible. Looking into it.
- Remove protections on hit (with warnings).

Submitting feature requests/bug reports
If you want to submit a feature request or a bug report:
- When posting feature requests, make sure the request has not been posted by another user. Check the ticket tracker before doing anything!
- If you would like to report a bug, please be as clear as possible: tickets which aren't clear enough will be marked as Invalid or Waiting.
- If you have a crash log, please use a pasting service to post it, such as Pastebin, Pastie, or BukkitDev's own paste service.
- If you submit a log, please add information. Tickets showing logs with a description such as "It does not work" will be rejected. When does it happen? Did it happen once or is it recurrent?

Wouldent it be more useful to just stop the PlayerPickupItemEvent if there was a entity instanceof Player in a radius of 15 blocks?
Hello, more players in my server say's what all newbies with PVP protection pickup all pvp items then killed good player. I'm very want to add the function WorldGuard regions in config, like this:
WorldGuardCheckRegions: pvparena (Region_name)
In this region for all newbies disabled protection.

Uhhh... i have a problem. My players have got exploding guns, Teleporting guns, being able to shoot fireballs, being able to drop TNT on people, and being able to strike lightening and poison people.
Sooo... could you prevent ALL damage (EXCLUDING MOB DAMAGE)?

Yes, because minecraft has not changed the EntityDamageByEntityEvent in 1.5
This is such an awesome plugin, and i recommend it to anyone who owns a server, its vital!

What about non-PvP spawns you can't build on? There's something you don't understand... the protection is intended so you can have some time to build and gather some ressources! Of course, a non-PvP spawn is often there to prevent spawn killing, but when you go out of spawn that protection goes away, and as a newbie you can't defend yourself against all those diamond-looted killers... Just thought I might clarify that.

Is it possible to add a command/config line, to allow timed protection on-the-fly .i.e typing "/PVP protect on" would start protection for all players for say 10 minutes, or for how long you set in the config?

There is no "blocked commands" option. Besides, this shouldn't even affect PvP. This isn't an anti-PvP-logging plugin. This is a protection plugin.
Are you sure you're on the right plugin?
I'm happy with the features, is there any way you could please just make the blocked commands option actually work? People can teleport out of fights, I had to result to adding a delay on teleports, which makes life hard and annoying. Then take your time working on any feature you'd like :P
