PropertyGuard
PropertyGuard
Player controlled property protection, purchasing, and sales!
Allows players to select an area (using the WorldEdit two point cuboid selection method), check the price to protect it, purchase the protection, which creates a WorldGuard Protected Region. Then they can cash it out to remove it, or offer it for sale to another player.
Properties are created with the following WorldGuard Region Protection Flags set:
Flags.use deny
Flags.greeting Entering %player%'s protected area
Flags.farewell Leaving %player%'s protected area
You can change these to any other WorldGuard Region Flag, see the Configuration Page for more information.
Commands
To select an area:
Hold a wooden ax, and left click to set the first point, then go to the opposite corner of the 3D Cuboid Area and select the second point.
This requires giving players the WorldEdit "worldedit.selection.pos " Permission. See the Permissions Page for more information.
To check the price before you buy a new property (first select an area):
/pg price
To buy a new property (first select an area):
/pg buy {new_property}
To see information about a property:
/pg info {property}
The property parameter is not needed if you are in a WorldGuard Region that has no overlapping regions.
To cash a property (sell for a faction of the price back to the server):
/pg cash {property}
To sell a property to another player (this sends and offer for the sale):
/pg sell {property} {player} {price}
To accept a sale offer (this is done by the receiving player:
/pg yes
NOTE: Both players must be online and in the world where the property is located to complete the sales transaction.
To add a member to your property:
/pg add {property} {player}
To remove a member from your property:
/pg remove {property} {player}
To set WorldGuard Protection Flags on your property:
/pg flag {property} {flag_name} {setting}
Notes
All transactions assign the players to and remove from any properties (WorldGuard Regions) involved, and also add or deduct any money from the economy.
The lowest price a new property sells for is $1, the lowest price a property can be cashed out is $0.
Requires WorldGuard, WorldEdit, Vault, and an economy for Vault to connect to.

@Katorone
As I've mentioned several times now, many of the features from my ProtectionStones Plugin will be added to PropertyGuard (see below).
Also the next version will be getting an expand command that will work much like WorldGuard's Expand command.
And admin tools like ones found in ProtectionStones.
Other than bug fixes this will take a little time since two other plugins of mine are coming out of beta, a third will finally get it's beta, and two others are in the process of becoming projects with beta releases.

Many of the features from my ProtectionStones Plugin will be coming to PropertyGuard, one is region limits by the number of regions a player owns.
How big are the regions being created that cause errors?
Creating subregions can be done with worldguard itself. You just need to set the right permissions for /region claim, and set this command up so it only works in regions you own.
A feature I'm looking for is this: In the config file admins can setup different kinds of regions. Eg, town region, large build, home, farm, ... Each kind also has a configurable max size, and a configurable "no mans zone" around it. When making a region, the player has to say which kind of region he's making, and it could be added to the region name, eg playername_farm# The plugin would check if the requested size isn't too big for the kind of plot the player's making. And if it's far enough away to give other plots room to expand + no mans zone.
What we'd love to accomplish with this is that we can make sure people can build without being boxed in by other players. So they can expand their regions to the configured limit and still have room between the regions so players don't bother each other too much.
Another great feature would be if players could expand their plots themselves up to the configured maximum.
Do you think these features would be an addition for your plugin, or not the way you want it to evolve?
Yes I made this comment but removed it cause I found that I can chane the item but thanks for help! I have a suggestion though: Maybe add a limit on how many regions a player can have and how big a region can be.
Also I found out, when players try to creta big regions they get an error but when they make small ones it works.
There was a comment made on this page that shows in my comments list but not here.
So I didn't see it, and it doesn't show me the name to respond too.
The question was about not being able to use wooden axes for their regular use.
You have two solutions:
One is to go in to WorldEdit's Configuration and change the selection tool to something else.
Default is the wooden ax:
wand-item: 271
The other is to toggle off or on the selection wand (wooden ax) with the WorldEdit "/toggleeditwand" command. This command needs the users to have the following permission "worldedit.wand"
@AppleBeatsKiwi
First off what do you mean won't extract, you simply copy it to your plugins folder.
Hi. I'm seeming to have a problem with your plugin. My bukkit server cant seem to read you .jar. It wont work and wont extract to my plugins to a folder. I have the same problem with RegionRealtor. I just wont read it. Id like it if someone or you could help me fix this problem. I've tried both 1.0 and 9.0. And my craftbukkit is up to date. Thanks
PG 1.0 has been uploaded and is awaiting approval.
The next release will have admin tools, much like some of the region and admin tools in my other plugin ProtectionStones.
At the moment ProtectionStones will be getting an update to add a couple of commands, and to make changes needed for changes to WorldGuard, and the addition of Bukkit 1.2.5 R3.0.
So PropertyGuard's next version will have a slight delay.
Fantastic!
Most of this information has been updated for the 1.0 release which will be uploaded late tomorrow if all the testing goes well.
@MRCartm0n
I'm working on updates for my ProtectionStones Plugin, then I will be getting to the permissions and default flags, I'm aiming for this Friday, but at the latest the end of next week.
Dont wan't to bother you but how long will it take till you add the permissions?
Thanks, but I have a bunch of graphics and documentation to put out here and on the other pages, I'm just too busy at this time to do all the changes.
Sorry for the spartan temporary page, it was mostly to get the project accepted first.
Ah ok. Thanks for the information!
Don't know why but I had a idea for a other banner:
Hope you like it!
@MRCartm0n
This is the beta, if you read the information in my ProtectionStones Plugin then you will see many of those features will be in this plugin also.
I will be adding permissions for commands and region flags you can set.
Default region flags, like greeting and farewell messages.
And the ability for players to create regions in their own regions (sub-regions)
Read ProtectionStones to see some of the existing features there.
This plugin will be different in many ways, one is the direct pay for protection model, and sales option.
If you are already using a protection system that's based on WorldGuard, then you might also want to look at my other plugin RegionRealtor, which creates sales and rental listings for existing regions.
Okay I have a few suggestions:
Other then that, plugin is awesome!!
ArenĀ“t there any permissions?
