PrintingPress
This is a simple plugin I wrote for copying books. To use it, simply hold a Book and Quill (unsigned book) or Written Book (signed book) in your hand, and use the command "/copybook" while having at least one ink sac, feather, and book, as well as an empty space for the newly-created book.
While this is just a simple plugin for now, I'm not against adding new features over time, so feel free to leave your suggestions and I'll see what I can do.
Just a idea make it so in perms file a op or staff person can do like /acopybook then it wont take any materials, and the a is admin, just a idea.
@Pangamma
Also had this error. 19.08 22:31:58 [Server] INFO Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException net.GamingG.PrintingPress.PrintingPress.onCommand(PrintingPress.java:62)
Make it so you can create multiple copies please.
Permission nodes?
This looks good, though I haven't installed it yet.
I have a few request;
Could you add the functionality to un-sign a book so it can be edited? I know I could keep a copy of an unsigned book around for editing later, but it would be nice to be able to un-sign any book for editing (only players with a special un-sign perm, though.)
Permissions support (if it isn't supported already)
Make an option to only allow players to copy books they themselves had signed (plus perm to override this option for admins)
Thanks, will be installing this later on today.
Damn, you beat me to the idea. I was creating something just like this :(
This is pretty cool, ive been waiting for a plugin like this since the 1.3 dev builds came out. Some suggestions i have...
- Permissions support through vault
- Configurable option for cooldown when copying a book
- Configurable item cost to copy a book
Would love to see this stuff added. Thanks for the awesome plugin :)
@RCBASEBALL13 I actually envisioned this plugin being able to store books and recreate them later. I could do something like what you're asking.
Nice! I defiantly needed something like this. I do have a suggestion but it might steer away from the plugin name... Could you maybe add something like... /book InfoBook or /book rules and when doing those commands a the written book "rules" or "info" is given to the player? Similar to the /kit command in essentials? I don't know if that's to much to ask or even possible but that would be perfect to have a rules book that players can have. Anyways, if this works this is gonna be awesome!
