Ports
Ports
Ports allows you to define regions which transport players around the world instantly, or on a schedule of your choosing.
Your ports can be trains, planes, ships, portals, whatever you like. You are limited only by your imagination!
Important notices
- This plugin requires WorldEdit, and will not work without it.
- All pre-existing port data from Ports v0.2 will be unusable with Ports v0.3 and above. If you have a large number of ports set up, you can use the sql2yaml Ruby script to convert the database to the new format. If you need help, please feel free to private message me on BukkitDev.
- The current version should still work on 1.6. If you have any issues, please post a comment.

Heres something ALLL teleport plugins NEED.
1st off let me explain what i need to accomplish.
I have made a Kino Der Toten map. Problem is that i cant get a person into the top room and make them tp out. Especially with voxelport, wont work. Now if i had a warmup/cooldown option. I could allow the teleporter to warmup, and well...cooldown. Once tped into the room up top, they would now be in a tp zone, but they would stay there for a while because the tp zone is warming up. It is absolutly essential you have a warmup/cooldown function.
@Daicecreamman
Check out the command reference page:
"Each command requires the "ports.[commandname]" permissions node. Everybody has "ports.list" by default, and ops have permission to use all of the following by default."
Hey is there a permissions sheet for this somewhere?
@ninjayoshi
Give players the ports.[commandname] node to give them access to a command.
For example, if you give a player ports.create, then they can use /port create.
Ops get every command by default, everyone else gets /port list and nothing else.
@Sayshal
Not yet. My first priority is fixing bugs and adding economy support ;)
Hey does any1 know where the permissions for this plugin is?
Is teleporting to a random location possible yet? (I talked to you about it earlier)
@CryADsisAM
Could you check the logs and see what kind of error it is? If it's an OptimisticLockException, that's a known bug, sorry :( I'm working on fixing it, but in the meantime you can just try the command again a few times until it works.
If it's not an OptimisticLockException, then I'd very much appreciate it if you could open an issue report by clicking the 'Tickets' link at the top of this page.
I select the area, expand it up using worldedit. Then I type in "/port create port1" and it gives me an error. ("An internal error occurred while atempting to perform this command").
I am using craftbukkit 1337.
@dagundi
Yup, I'm working on a system that allows you to customise every message :)
@fisherman77
It's had multiworld support since the very beginning. I used it to create ports linking my survival and creative worlds ;)
Oh ya and multiworld please!
So simple! Great plugin!
Works great. Cound you add Multilanguage Support? Or make the messages custamizable that it is possible to translate by one own? (I would like to have it in German, my Users cant speak english good)
@deleted_7798670
The scheduling bug was fixed in v0.1.1, could you download it and give it another try? :)
You can already teleport whilst inside a vehicle, but it causes all sorts of weird bugs. I might have to change it so only players who aren't inside vehicles get teleported, until I can work out a fix.
The main purpose of this plugin, though, was to allow you to build fancy elaborate trains, planes, ships, etc. that transport people around in a cinematic manner, not to allow you to link mine cart tracks together :P
Hey, Were you thinking of adding the ability to teleport whilst in a vehicle? ie. Minecart or boat, as an example, I would like to have a train station, with minecarts, and as apposed to making extremely long tracks, there would just be portals connecting the tracks. Also, there was one problem with a scheduled portal. Whenever two or more people attempt to use the same portal at once, the first person to be inside the portal area was not teleported.
Sorry if I've missed anything you've written on these two things.
Thanks, James
@Ceress
It's supposed to say "Whoosh!" when you depart, and "Please come again soon!" when you step out of a port before it's departed. Sometimes they get mixed up though - this is (I hope) fixed in the dev builds, and will be fixed in the next release :)
I'll probably add a localisation file at some point so you can customise all of the messages, but for now I'm working on bugfixes and economy support.
This is...fantastic!!
The only thing I would like to see added, is the return trip message. "Please come again soon!" is what I saw on my return trip through my first portal. I'd really rather it didn't say anything at all. :)
@CoryLiss
I'm not sure I understand the question - the current version of WorldEdit is 4.7, and Ports supports that version. It should also support 4.6 but I haven't tested it.
Just a question, how does this work if WorldEdit is version 1185?
