PlayerParticles
PlayerParticles has moved to Spigot. Please download the plugin from https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/playerparticles.40261/ for now on. Newer versions will no longer be uploaded here.
PlayerParticles is great to use as a VIP perk and is EULA friendly! Your players will love the amount of customization that is available for them!
The plugin wiki can be found here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki
Permission details can be found in the wiki here: https://github.com/Esophose/PlayerParticles/wiki/Permissions
The GUI provides ease-of-access for your users. Simply typing /pp will open the GUI and bring them to a menu where they can edit their particles. If you are using the plugin for a server lobby, you can bind the /pp gui command to an item using a different plugin.
The section below contains a GIF of all styles currently available in the plugin. Please note that all styles are compatible with all particle effects, meaning there are thousands of combinations. I only show one effect per style in the GIFs below. While most of the GIFs only show the particles around a player, the majority of them can also be placed around blocks.

PlayerParticles will check for an update each time your server starts. The plugin .jar will never be downloaded, OPs will get a notification in chat when they log in if an update is available. PlayerParticles will also send metrics about your server anonymously through bStats.
Update checking can be turned off by setting check-updates to false in the config.yml. Metrics can be turned off by setting send-metrics to false in the config.yml.
If a player has their particle settings (In Options > Video Settings) set to minimal they will be unable to see most particles displayed. I am unable to fix this since it is purely client side.
I will only help you with errors you are having if you are running the latest version of the plugin and are running a supported version of Minecraft!

I have set up a Discord server for my plugins that you can join if you want to get faster support, make feature requests, or report bugs. Invite link: https://discord.gg/MgUsTBK
Will / would there be a future feature where you could mix / have more than 1 particle effect on a player?

v4.4 is currently pending approval. It will fix the error that you receive when restarting/reloading your server.
The v4.3 update is now available! It contains some important bug fixes so make sure to update no matter what version you are on! It is fully backwards compatible to MC1.7.
If you find any bugs or get any errors in your server console, please post an error report on the Issues page.
Ok well this plugin is amazing... I can't seem to get the permissions to work though... For example for one of my "groups" it is the default one and the perm they have is "playerparticles.effect.suspended: true" and I reloaded it and tried everything... they still have no permission for that particle effect. Also none of the effects work with the permissions for me. Just a suggestion... you should make it so that you can edit the particle effect names and the effects itself. Also when I used "playerparticles.style.*: true" that didn't work either. Same with "playerparticles.effect.*: true" and if this helps I am using BukkitPermissions. I also found out that when I added in "playerparticles.style.<anystylename>: true" That would work for my specified groups... just the effects themselves don't work for some reason... any help?

I changed the config with the messages. But nothing happend all the messages are the same as before! Can Someone help me?
Greetings Max
After making changes to the config you need to either restart or reload your server.
It could also just be that you forgot to save the changes you made.
Need any more help? Feel free to ask on here or PM me.
I just realized I broke support for 1.7 when I added the check for spectator mode. This will be fixed in v4.3 and support for 1.7 will be restored!
Shiny! I had been ignoring the update to 4.2 for a while (and the 4.0 update a few months ago), but I finally had time and updated. VERY nice. I'm currently in process of making a GUI for it using another plugin. If you do decide to include a GUI, please make it not an absolutely required thing. I use custom GUIs to allow players to purchase (using vote points or igm) particles and the like, and access the particles. Always dislike it when a dev includes a GUI that is required to use, since it doesn't flow with the rest of my stuff. (Needing to click another button to get to the dev's required GUI before you can get "equip" the particle.)
Anyway, you should definitely put this on Spigot, too. I'd love to give you a 5-star review about why people should want/need this. Very awesome. :)
And I know my players will love the new styles!
Hey, thanks for your wonderful review and insight!
I will be sticking to my normal ways of keeping things as backwards compatible as I possibly can, after all, the plugin is still compatible with MC1.7!
The GUI will be completely separate from everything else, so no need for you to worry there!
This next release is going to contain a lot of new stuff!

Are you the one who also posted it here on spigot?
No I didn't. Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention, I have reported that copied plugin to the admins of Spigot.
Oddly this is the second time my plugin was reposted on Spigot without my permission. I might as well start a plugin page over there and keep them both updated do this doesn't happen anymore.
Again, thanks for letting me know about this!
No problem!
Ps have you thought about doing a GUI for all these particles?
It is on the plans at the bottom of the plugin description :)
Remarkable work. The update plan shows a lot of promise. Could there be a more intense version of the none style, so we can appear like Voldemort's black smoke flight effect. Thanks Mate. Keep up the good work. When is 4.3 coming?
Of course, I'm always open for suggestions for new styles.
I'm not going to give a definitive date when it will be released, because I don't know how much time I will have to actually work on it.
Style arrows is the best addition to this plugin yet. This just officially became the best bukkit particle plugin!
Now for some fun disguise as a vex, set pp effect heart and pp style arrows. Now your players can be visited by "cupid". :)
