PingReply
Hey guys
I'm working on a Plugin which is better than Ping-Pong. It works with miliseconds! This plugin is very lightweight! The final reply will give you : Your Ping is: *ms
Installation
- Download a version (Latest version is recommended)
- Install PingReply.jar to your plugins folder
- Run/Restart your Server.
- Enjoy!
Commands:
- /ping
- /ping <Playername>
- /pingreload
Permissions:
- "tschagg.ping"
- "tschagg.ping.other"
- "tschagg.ping.reload"
Im planing to add many more Features to this in the Future!
Note: It overrides the /ping from other Plugins.
@LihPeu
Pro tipp: try /ping1 ;-)
@tschagg
Sure, when I run the command from another plugin like magicspells, essentials will override it and give me the useless pong! Also I used to use a similar plugin called pingtester. One of the main advantages was the option to configure the message given to the user, as many players weirdly do not understand what ping is and with a custom message I could explain and give links to my other servers which might be closer to their location.
@LihPeu
if you can tell me a good reason for it ... ?
Could I ask for an alias for the command please?
@Marium0505
ok, i'll make a config for it in the next version :)
Can you add a config to change the prefix?
@UbuntuFreak
ok thank you, i never read the enabling cause i've over 60 plugins running xD but i fix that in the next bukkit update :-) thanks for the information!
@tschagg
Thanks for the update!
Works perfeclty but when loading the plugin it says: 2013-05-04 14:35:44 [INFO] java.awt.Color[r=0,g=255,b=0]PingReply enabled.
:)
@tschagg
Nice, I can't wait getting this plugin again :)
waiting for approval :)
yeah i update it in a few hours to 1.5.2
Great plugin, but I'm getting this error in Spigot 1.5.2 (Build #836) http://pastebin.com/ebM2yVLm
Anyway you could update it again? Thx
@UbuntuFreak
thank you :)
Thanks for this plugin!
Installed it about an hour ago and already like it :)
@x_clucky
yeah thats a bukkit bug ;-/
What ever happened to adding in a multiple ping? Where it pings a user a configured amount of times then takes the average (removing any extraneously high or low amounts)? Also, there seems to be a bug where when a user logs in for the first time, and you ping them, it says they have never played or something like that...
@tschagg
Thanks! :-)
@skookiesprite
ok i update it now to 1.2.2 for 1.5.1 xD
@skookiesprite
small explain: 1.2.1 version uses
and your server uses:
i dont make a update of this plugin to every new dev version of bukkit but if theres a beta or a rec out, i'll update it in some hours :-)
take care!
@skookiesprite
hi.
thank you so much for that friendly post, yeah theres a problem with the different versions of craftbukkit ... its rly annoying, myself, i cant fix that, or i make for every new dev version a own pingreply plugin, but thats senseless ... i would recommend, wait for the rec.version of bukkit, and i'll make a pingreply for this version too, so you can run it for a long time :) in this meantime, i search a other way to ping yourself and the server. seems like its not the best way, bcause of the bukkit problem. but, if it works fine, u dont have to care about the errors in the console (if the server is stable) when the server is crashing bcause of this, please send me the crash report, so i can take a look into it and find a solution.
thank you!
