Make anything drop anything, anyhow!

OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Conditions
- Multi-world support - create separate files to handle each world
- Add super rare drops with chance values down to 0.000000001%
- Specify tools required (or a list of tools eg. [any sword, -diamond sword])
- Lorename, Heroes (class & level) conditions
- Cooldowns
Actions
- Apply actions alongside the drop (or even without a drop)
- Damage tools and/or consume items (eg. use dyes to color wool)
- Damage or heal the victim, player or even the whole world
- Apply potion effects to the victim, player, radius, world or server
- Display custom messages (or a list of messages with one selected at random)
- Create explosions, lightning, visual effects (including particles), sound effects
- Run commands
Ideas
- Give leaves various chances of dropping apples, sticks, cocoa beans, saplings, etc on break and/or leaf decay.
- Make glass, stairs, and boats reclaimable (can be tool-specific if you wish).
- Allow gold and iron to be mined directly into ingots with a golden pickaxe.
- Allow users to right-click on cobblestone with vines in hand to turn the cobblestone mossy.
- Nerf mob traps by disabling drops from environmental damage.
- Unleash the zombie apocalypse by setting zombies to drop zombies when they die! (This can be world-specific.)
- Make mobs that don't normally spawn naturally spawn.
- Make mob spawning, drops, and events biome specific!

Dev Builds
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.

Hello there ZariusT, just wanted to say that I love your plugin. It's made so many things possible for my modded server. I currently have a question and a request.
Firstly, my question is; Is it possible to make a item with a custom name and lorename drop on block break? For example I want a piece of paper drop with the name being say, $5 dollars, and a lorename saying, Right click this paper to obtain $5? If so, would you mind giving me a configuration example as to how I would be able to achieve this? If not, would it be possible to add a feature like this in?
Secondly, my feature request is; Would you be able to add Grief Prevention specific compatibility? As well as some default conditions such as claim-owned, claim-trusted and claim-not-trusted.
That way on either right click or left click with a specific item within a claim that a person doesn't own, A server owner could make it so that the item disappears so as to completely prevent grief on modded servers where some modded items completely bypass protections with with grief preventing plugins.

I already have this kind of bug, but I can't help you anymore.

Even the included one in the config doesn't work right. The glass is dropped, but not destroyed. Also see an error: http://i.imgur.com/iawJYIW.png

This didn't work unfortunately, the ore dropped a diamond every time.

You better do it the other way, otherwise it will avoid blocking the Fortune effect on the enchanted pickaxes, when you break the diamond ore. This is supposed to work :

I'm having trouble here. I want to make diamond ore drop diamonds only 10% of the time, and the ore should disappear if it drops or not.
When I tried, it would drop nothing but the ore would remain until it did.

Try this:
I'm not sure (off the top of my head) what kind of event gets fired when a sheep is dyed, and whether OtherDrops is able to read that event as of now. The above example goes beyond looking for a specific event and should just cancel player interaction entirely (rather than denying just the event) given the above conditions.
Is there a way to prevent people from using dyes on sheep using this plugin?

Not sure if I understand you completely, but I'm assuming this is a concise and correct summary of your suggestion:
It's a good idea for all the reasons you mentioned (thanks for giving good examples by the way), but the appropriate place to submit suggestions would be the tickets section on GitHub. As much as I'd like to fulfill your request, I'm not good enough at coding to submit a pull request, so it's all up to @ZariusT.
Being the plugin database I am, have you tried looking at WomOres as a temporary substitute? I've never used it myself, but my understanding is that it allows you to replace broken blocks after a specific timeframe.
Pleeeeease I hightly suggest you to add conditions around the delay feature ! :(
The real problem is that, as long as you use the "delay" feature, not any action, not any change, even if you litteraly provoc Apocalypse on the world will distrub the action at the end of the delay.
And it's really problematic. I'll explain.
Just imagine the possibilites you can afford if the delay have conditions (and using a ressource pack) :
• Otherdrops enable to custom the drop of a block, so you can create a oat cereal block (using another metadata than wheat) and make it drop an item "oat" and "oat seeds" (two things I did).
by using this trick (and the adequate textures) :
You can manage custom cereals ! (by default, the block 59 will be destruct if it is no farmland (60) below it, so the condition will well working)
BUT. There's a but, imagine the player decides to remove his field because he prefers to create a house right here.
He will break all the cereal blocks and begin to place a parquet when suddenly, all his planks would be replaced by 59@9.
Because the delay has expired and there is no way to explains to the trigger : "Hey oat, you can't grow anymore, I've already broken you"
Now, imagine it exists a condition like this which would totally block the trigger :
There would be no problem to custom a new cereals.
• You could also create other block like a bush which grows berries every hours if the harvest block bush is not removed.
• You could create a coal/gold/wood box in a NPC's house which will be filled every day.
• You could create a dynamite block which explode 30 seconds after if no body defuse it.
And so, so more...
We really really need it ! :3

It's not possible with OtherDrops because this plugin does not influence game mechanics directly. It can only alter events that have already happened - not create them.
Also, I'm fairly sure mob spawning is a vanilla mechanic meaning spawning mobs in sunlight would either require editing Minecraft itself (via a mod or NMS) OR having the plugin handle mob spawning instead.

I dont think that is Possible with OtherDrops
Can somebody please tell me how to make it so mob's from mob spawners will spawn in any light level, including sunlight (15)
I seem to remember there was (at least Planned) a feature for a condition that the loretext (Not name) includes a specific Text.
I even have a (Not working and Outcommented) part of it in my configs:
- trigger: HIT
tool: [ANY_SWORD]
lore: "&4Rune: &6Healing"
chance: 5%
potioneffects.attacker: [HEAL@1@1]
Is there now a way to make this work? If yes, how, as I cant seem to figure out how it works.
Edit: Nevermind, I just found in the Tickets my Old ticket for that. :) I just requested the Feature.
That makes my whole work from today meaningless. :( And I was so sure it was implemented somehow, because I had that Drop in my files.

That should work but I've broken named items in the latest build, will fix it as soon as I'm able (currently on holidays so no PC).
