Ore Respawn
Description
When you mine an ore with Ore Respawn, the block turns to bedrock, then after a configurable amount of time later, the bedrock changes back to be mined again. NOW WORKS WITH ANY BLOCK!
Commands and Permissions
- Currently no commands!
- No Permissions!
Setup and Configuration
- Download the OreRespawn jar file.
- Put the jar file in your server's plugins file.
- Restart or reload the server. You can now begin respawning ores!
- Configure per ore how much time it takes to respawn. This time is measured in SECONDS
- You can now use any material which you can find here: http://jd.bukkit.org/rb/apidocs/org/bukkit/Material.html
- This plugin works hand in hand with my plugin No Smelt: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/nosmelt/ It can be used so when players mine gold and iron, they can't just get infinite amounts.

Would it be possible to make it so that the ores only respawn when a player who has a certain permission places it, but otherwise the ore acts as a normal ore? because this can be kind of broken when we are talking about ores such as gold and iron, or when ores have been silk touched and players can just replace them and get unlimited resources.

Can you please explain how to set respawn areas and times. i tried to find a file but could not. I am trying to set up a typical prison server. also can you make it respawn the same type of ores but in a randomized pattern?
Any way to get each log with a different timer? Not log is oak and log_2 is every other wood, i want to use the trees as a form of currency with different timers kind of based on unescape style tree chopping

Anyway to get this to work with trees, different type of logs?
I love this plugin, i put diamonds and valuable ores to respawn in several days, and i use it in conjunction with no smelt, but i have a problem.
When i restart the server, all the bedrock converted ores turn to the original ore and skip the timer.
would it be possible to make the Cooldown block customizable instead of always bedrock.
Also I noticed the regen seems to work with player placed blocks as well. Is this a bug? or intended? cuz someone could theoretically silk touch a ton of blocks and put them all in one place and destroy the point of mining underground.

He replied and said he may add it... Also, another suggestion. Please allow a setting for each block, so instead of say coal, iron ore, etc turning to bedrock, can you allow a setting to change that to stone, or some other ID, which is breakable, but respawn's immediately and does not drop any material.
I guess ignoring my entire suggestion is cool.

HUGE SUGGESTION! ENJOY
You should make it to where when a specific block is broken, you can set different items to drop. The items should be able to have colored and configurable names with colored lore and enchants that the user wants.
Maybe you could also make to where you can create "groups" and specify what that group will drop. Then you will be able assign groups to the blocks. So If I have multiple iron ores placed (lets say one is harder than the other). I want the harder block to have a better reward, so I will set up two groups with different rewards.
Also you should make it so each of the items in different groups have different percentage chances to drop and it can drop from a range of amounts.
Lets say 1-2 nether stars named "&4Tokens" (in red) will drop 20% of the time but one iron ore will drop 100% of the time when mining the iron ore in the harder group. BUT the easier ore with the easier group will only drop "&4Tokens" 10% of the time and drop 1 iron ore.

Ok thanks, its no problem, Forge also starts to use names, so its already in progress, so you can make it so IDs and names work maybe, and make a ore force spawn for already generated chunks.
