Separate inventories?
Yes, MyWorlds now supports per-world inventories. This feature is by default disabled, to enable it, set useWorldInventories to true in the config.yml. By default no worlds share inventories and player inventories are saved and loaded per world. To share inventories, use /world inventory merge followed up by the world names to merge. Split (or detach) gives all worlds specified a separate non-shared inventory. You can use /world inventory enable or disable to disable inventories for worlds. Enabled inventories will save data, disabled won't and result in all items being cleared.
Advice for having plugin-generated or flat worlds
The main world loads (and generates) before My Worlds enables. The Bukkit plugin architecture makes it impossible to load My Worlds before worlds load, since that causes some other incompatibilities. Anyway, if you want to have a 'main' world that is not a nether/the_end/overworld Vanilla world, you will have to do the following:
- Set up the main world to be anything you like (even if you don't use it on your server...you need one)
- Create a new world for the world type you want (flatworld, custom chunk generator, etc.)
- Stop the server and open up the config.yml of MyWorlds
- Change 'mainWorld' to your newly created custom world
- Start the server again and notice how new players join your custom world
- Optionally: disable the 'keep spawn in memory' for the 'server' main worlds (you are not using)
Just to avoid any confusions: it is impossible to let My Worlds alter or replace the main worlds generated by the server. If there is any fix to this or you know 'some way' to do it, let us know. We do consider halting the server enabling process asking for you to create the main worlds, after which enabling continues as usual. But for this, we need to disable the default main worlds from loading up.

Disclaimer (because things CAN go wrong)
I am not responsible for world damages done by this plugin or by certain commands this plugin performs. If you, for example, loaded 20 worlds and hosted it on a buggy computer with 30 players, odds are the server (and your computer) will crash and worlds become corrupted. Repair can fix worlds, but this does not recover damaged chunks, so don't think you are always covered. Also, never forget to make backups of your worlds, but I guess this is common sense... Just a warning for those that blame their own mistakes on the plugin developer :)
Metrics
This plugin sends server count statistics to MCStats.org. You can (globally) opt out in the PluginMetrics/config.yml file.
console load of a world seems to cause a server crash.
Its either MultiInv that had those stupied exampleGroups or WorldInventories.
I remeber MultiInv had a logout world setting :D
Hey, Just a quick question... i have recently updated to the v1.45 and i have been seeing this... is this from this plugin? I don't know what it means.
CONSOLE: Player world: exampleGroup and the player's logout world: SpawnRoom
CONSOLE: Player world: exampleGroup and the player's logout world: exampleGroup
CONSOLE: Player from world: SpawnRoom and the player's to world: Creative
Not sure what this is..... anything to be worried about... supposed to mean something... im kinda stumped.
Hello! Having this little problem here...
My server player capacity is 64 players and it's quite full nowadays. We have experienced this annoying issue when server have been under heavy use that there comes some clones in front of portals (usually right in front of but sometimes they spawn little off)
Here's a little (yeah quite small) picture:
After I took that picture spawned third clone.. Aargh!
You can't kick them or push them or anything so only solution is to reboot the server software. Is there any better solution to this?
Cheers.
@Race_Pro_Kid
Was it the old .mcr format?
In that case My Worlds might of had overwritten the old map.
Or check for backed up old .mcr files
New format is .mca
And why not use command /tpp the_dropper or /world tp the_dropper
Can someone help? I loaded a custom map (that I had played in SP no problem), but it was just a brand new flat world. Here's exactly what I did:
Got to a flat world.
@bergerkiller What about the items thru portal glitch? Any solution to that?
Thanks
@TheCrafter2012 You can already do that through the configuration (worlds.yml has a node for environment). I don't do that as the naming conversion is required to make the world load properly outside of MyWorlds. (such as _nether and _the_end)
@TheDennis321 One portal can link to one other portal or world. Not sure what your question is, but yes, you can have multiple portals on one world leading to other portals or even the same portal.
Very good plugin. can i make more various portals in one world that i can from one world go to all other worlds?
Could you add a option to set the world type (normal, Nether, end...) without having to be in the world's name?
Can we get a response on http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/my-worlds/tickets/31-time-lock-not-working-properly/ ASAP? Not to rush you but it's annoying our users >.<
@elninjo460
its a plugin one of your plugins is resetting the gamemode you can also change it in your plugins folder Myworld folder and worlds try that also might want to make a permissions for that wouldn't hurt
love this plugins, better than the others. but i have two questions. maybe someone can answer me that?
1. when i set my gamemode manually on a survival map to creative and enter a portal to an other world. the gamemode is always reset to the gamemode of the world, even if i return to the world where i set my gamemode to creative. is this a bug? with multiworld i don´t have this problem? is this a bug? 2. i created a world e.g. word1, world1_nether, word1_the_end. are all these words linked to gether as a whole survival map? so a nether portal of world1 will lead to world1_nether?
ok i know you have a denyspawn in the command for mobs creatures and such what is the creatures name to deny cave spiders please help bergerkiller thanks
@polo3400 Lots of requests about it, though this is one of those requests that end in fully-fledged features like 'I want world1 and world2 to share the same inventory, while world3 is a separate channel too'. This is why I didn't implement it, knowing it would go beyond the common 'world inventory' thing. It's a bit risky.
I'll come up with a component type of strategy at some point, can't be too hard.
Please, and I'm begging, add multiple/separate inventories for Myworld Only, with Myworlds, Not a separate plugin, they aren't that good.
Unsure if its a bug.. or something im doing wrong..
But when users travel through portals, they are facing differently to what the world spawn is set at.. Doesnt matter what way the portal is facing...
@dynamicdude
I'm having this issue also. I found that I can force the worlds.yml to save using the save command, but my portals are always broken when my server restarts. Could you either make the save command force the portals to be written to disk, or fix the shutdown sequence for my worlds so it writes correctly (assuming thats the issue :-) )
Best multiworld plugin you will ever find on Bukkit :D
how buggy is my worlds
