Minecart speed+
Minecart_SpeedPlus - Make your minecarts go lot faster
Version: v1.6.
Not actively maintained but confirmed to be compatible at least up to 1.13.2 in the comments
Have you ever felt that, your minecart transport system takes too much time for you to get from place a to place b? Have you wanted to do something funny with minecarts?
If you answered yes, this plugin is the answer.
Features:
- Set minecart speed with a simple command
- Makes your minecart to change speed as you go past a sign
- Makes you minecarts fly! (They glide through the air!)
NOTE: This plugin does NOT make minecarts move on their own (atleast yet), it only set maximum speed. To get to that speed, you need booster tracks or something. You have to wait for sign creation limitations though...
Permissions/OP:
Full permissions support for both signs and commands. Both default to OP.
How to use
1. The commmand You just type "/msp " where the multiplayer is something between 0 and 50. 0,5 is half the normal speed, 1 is the normal speed, and 2 is double the normal speed. 2. Signs (Speed) You have to create a sign somewhere around the track (on the side, below and etc...) with following lines: 1st: [msp] 2nd : eg. [msp] 2
3. Signs (gliding)
Do the same thing as above, but in the second line, put "fly" (without the quotes). To cancel the effect, replace fly with nofly
Todo/Ideas:
- Make the server remember the global multiplier
- Make carts move without boosters
Bugs/issues:
- No real known bugs so far

1.15.1 でも動作しました.(The plugin operated in the 1.15.1.)
A great plugin, as good as it still works in the 1.13.2 without problems. To recommend
Works in 1.9.2. Author is probably never gonna read this but thank you for this plugin! Works fine without issues.
I wish this plugin was updated, I am really needing a minecart plugin that speeds up carts because my server uses them as a main mode of transportation
First of all, thanks for this awesome mod!
Is there any way to make unoccupied minecarts (i.e. powered minecarts / minecarts with chests) receive the multiplier as well?
EDIT: Solved! For anyone having similar problems, make sure you're using NEW minecarts (i.e. ones placed after the plugin is installed).
@esavar
It works like a charm, thanks for creating this! :)
@SharkROAR
I do not know of any changes in bukkit that would have broken it, but I have not tried. You could try it, and post a comment if it doesn't work. I am kind of busy right know, but I should always be able find the time to make a fix
This seems useful for me, does it work with 1.6.2? :D
Added a 1.5.2 build (as soon as it gets aproved)
@ImmanuelCunt
1.5.2 I have moved in
I was usable in 1.5.2!
@dougdashwitz
I completely agree! Love this.
Is this project still being supported? It would be nice to download a plugin like this that is lightweight and doesnt come with alot of other excess features i wont use.
When I ride a cart on a straight section (not sloped/curved) of 400 blocks on a superflat map, it works fine in one direction, but bounces back halfway in the other. And in a normal map it doesn't do anything underground. My server runs MC 1.3.1.
Is this because the plugin isn't yet compatible with 1.3.1?
EDIT: Never mind, the bouncing back was caused by Minecart Mania (MinecartRevolution handles it fine) and the underground issue was caused by using a wall sign rather than a sign with a post.
@fastfoodxd
Hi
That is a really common problem, and I get asked that a lot. I finally decided to dedicate a page to it. Feel free to find it below Bugs/Issues
hey great plugin, but in the courves it stops or turns back!!! how can i fix it??
Update, please! :D
Been using this plugin for a while. Please update!
This is an amazing plugin which I find no good replacement for, I do very much hope that you will update it.
The Minecart compatibility layer in forge breaks this plugin. Fix it by replacing the minecart.class in the net/server/minecraft or whatever folder with the one in the original jar's version inside the same spot.
