Mortar
Description
Mortar introduces, like the name already tells you, mortars into Minecraft.
Features
- Enables players to use an item specified in the config to shoot mortars.
- Power of the mortar can be set in the config.
- Costs for shots can be set
- payment via resources
- economy-support (requires Vault)
IMPORTANT
- Please use the plugin carefully and limit the power using the config. I hardcoded a maximum power of 10, but even this power can easily crash your server as soon as there are too many players using mortars at the same time.
- When updating, please delete the "Mortar"-folder in your server's plugins-folder because Mortar does not update the config. If there are new lines in the config, Mortar will not be able to use them which will result in Mortar not working as it should.

Mortar 1.3 (Mortar worked like this until version 1.6.2)
Commands and Permission-Nodes
FAQs
ToDo-List
- Add different types of mortars (explosive, fire, smoke?, ...)
- Add possibility to set a region and limit the use of mortars to it.
- Add possibility to set different MaxPowers for different Permissions-Groups.

Known Bugs
I hope there are no bugs. If you find one, please report it here.
No worries, just a bunch of stuff I thought of while I was flying around blowing crap up :D
Dispensers is good, I was going to change it to that block but obviously that block is deployable so it wasn't gonna work.
Make it so it doesn't spawn chickens.
@drtenabrae
Wow, quite a big list.
I do not have enough time at the moment to add all these features, but as soon as I have enough time, I'll try to add some of those features.
My current WIP-feature is the use of dispensers as cannons, but I got a problem there and therefore cannot release it yet. ;)
I like it.
After a bit of a play these are features i'd like to see:
Define the launched object (rather than just egg) Define the physics (a multiplier for the falloff and or the air speed so you could set it from a slow arcing fire to a direct rocket launcher) Maximum (and minimum) range for detonation. Fire toggle (sets fire or not) Cooldown timer (resource requirement is fine but it's still spammable)
Other cool features I could see this having: Place launched object rather than detonate it, could make for example a glowstone launcher (flare) Rather than launch the object have the reticle act as a target designator with a configurable delay from time of click to time of impact Target point could be temporarily marked with snow or something. config toggleable fire/smoke trail or other marker so people can see where the mortar came from
Fixed a bug in the WorldGuard-Check in v1.5.2.
Added the option in v1.5.1.
1.5 and 1.5.1 still have to be approved before you are able to download them. ;)
@KrYojeNiX There is none, but of course I can add that! Give me a minute... ;)
Cool plugin. Is there an option in config to turn chat notification off?
If not could you do one please?
@kahlilnc
Added that feature in v1.5. ;)
@Phiwa
Alright thanks man. I don't want everything griefed XD But this would be good for one my server classes.
I will take a look at it, but it will take some days until the next version is released.
How bout support for world guard protected explosions? So it doesn't destroy the terrain? :(
@colony88
My advise is to start with a mortarpower of 3 and maybe go up after some uses, it is REALLY destructable. ;-)
@Phiwa
Thanks for the vid, just what I needed. Going to try this out on my server.
Nice Plugin! *thumps up* :)
@colony88
I can only post some links to screenshots now, I will try to add more tomorrow, but I'm afraid the video has to wait until next next... Screenshots don't really show how Mortar works, a video would be much better, but on the video you can see how destructible mortars can be.^^
The screenshots were taken without looking for good perspectives and are only here to keep you alive until tomorrow. They are unfiltered, so don't judge on them please.^^

EDIT: Thanks to puffnuget, I can present you a video showing the general behaviour of Mortar.
A video/ screenshot or some sort of preview is always helpful with Mechanics plugins :)
Video or screens?
