MorePhysics
MorePhysics: Making Minecraft more fun
Do you miss the pistons that launch everything into the air? Do you think that carrying hundreds of tons worth of blocks in your pockets is overpowered? Should the boats sink when taking damage, or should colliding with a speeding minecart cause some internal trauma? Good news - I have the plugin just for you. MorePhysics does exactly that - and more.[ Download | Configuration | Source code | Issue tracker ]

@rvarnell
I have one plugin scheduled for release this week and another in development, so do not expect any new features too quickly. I'll probably get to it next week.
@Byamarro
I believe that the thing with arrows moving to the torso is a Minecraft glitch, not MorePhysics' one.
This is cool.
Consider another upvote for inventory/block weight, too.
How much donation would be necessary to get you to consider allowing configurable block weight values? :)
I think there's a brilliant opportunity to delve into Railroad Tycoon type sim development by making movement of mass resources a logistical challenge.
I've seen one or two plug-ins talk about doing this, but they are WAAAAAYY out of date (aka abandoned).
I love your solutions on slowing movement, sinking in water, etc. I'd just like to be able to personally configure each block/items weight (might not care about some items) and be able to set the thresholds for penalties.
Thanks!
@bitWolfy
Or just one item weight system.Because armor should have the same weight equipped and unequipped.
I mean every item in your equipment should have own weight. More items = slower player.
PS: There is some stupid thing. Arrows modifiers works perfect but when You hit someone in head by arrow then You have damage x2 but I can see that arrow stuck in his torso :/
@Byamarro
That's... actually a pretty good idea, yes.
Hey! You can use NBT value for player instead of potion effect to slowndown players.
It will make that annyoing particles will disappear + You will have bigger scale for speed, not only Slow 1, Slow 2, Slow 3.
NBT
walkSpeed for player
for default it's 0.1 but You can modify it to any value. It will make that player will fell difference with every part of armor.
You could too add inventory item weight system for it :)
@bitWolfy
No one i think.
@anisredbull
Well, it does work for me on the latest CraftBukkit build (CB 1.4.7-R1.0). I am not quite sure what is the problem on your side. Do you have any other plugins that might affect walking speed?
@bitWolfy
Yep...
@anisredbull
You still have not answered my question. What do you mean by "does not seem to work"? Is the slowness potion effect not added?
@bitWolfy
I dont have morephysics.exempt.I tested it on my players and i removed morephysics.exempt.Help?
@Darkin44
You are probably also getting errors in the log about player "moving too fast". It only occurs when moving up, and only of Bukkit especially hates you.
No, I do not know how to bypass this limitation right now. Yes, I am working on it, but I have been really busy lately due to the beginning of the semester in college.
@anisredbull
Define "does not seem to work". You should receive a slowness potion effect if you are wearing armor, also, make sure that you do not have the morephysics.exempt node, which exempts you from armor weight.
I have the version for 1.4.6 RO3 and the armor doesnt seems to work.Help?
I'm using the most recent version of More Physics, and for some reason the launching piston feature doesnt work right. I used to only have to stand on top of the block, and hit a button, and it would launch me, now, I have to be jumping up and down, and hit the button, and if I am lucky, the timing will be right, and it will launch me, but its finicky.
CraftBukkit Update Notice
The latest version of MorePhysics (MorePhysics 2.2.0) should work normally with CB 1.4.7-R1.0 (Recommended Build #2624). Please, report any issues in the comments or on github.
@MrREOM
I already implemented some permissions, just did not have time to test the plugin out. I'll try to do that ASAP.
Do you think you could add commands and permission nodes? I thought this would be a great idea to add them because people might want this to be restricted and you could add commands so people will be able to get launced by pistons or bounce on blocks. And maybe even add a command so not everyone could have a bouncy block so then you would enable the block and then it would be able to launch people or be able to bounce on it. Also, a permission so people will be able to get hurt by the diffrent damages the plugin does when you get hit by an arrow. If you need help with the commands or permission nodes i had some ideas too
@TheAtreidius
Yeah, I can do that.
Great plugins. Please provide a way to disable some or all aspects of this per world. This could possibly be set up like this:
morephysics.exempt.* - Exempts a user from all aspects of the plugin. morephysics.exempt.weight
and so on.
@Byamarro
Not quite sure what to tell you. I did not edit any logic, I merely cleaned up the code and insured the compatibility with the latest craftbukkit build.
I'll test it out, see what I can do.
Edit: Arrow damage modifiers work normally.
@bitWolfy
Arrow multipiers don't work
