Moorings
Moorings
This is a simple, single-purpose mod, meant to make your docks look pretty where before they were filled with randomly drifting boats. It restricts any unoccupied boat's movement to a radius around a nearby mooring (if there is one) as though it were tied down.
Features
- Extremely simple to set up and use: no client mods, no recipes, no commands, no permissions, four configuration options
- Multiverse compatible
- One mooring point per boat, multiple boats per mooring point
- Source included in .jar
Configuration
- ropelength: How far boats are permitted to travel, from the center of the boat to the center of the block. Setting this to 0 simply freezes boats in place. (Default: 3)
- searchradius: # of blocks (x and z) to search away from a boat for possible mooring points. Should probably be the same as ropelength. (Default: 3)
- validblocks: A list of blocks that will be recognized as mooring points. Uses the names defined here. (Default: FENCE and NETHER_FENCE)
- break: What will happen if a boat is dragged too far from its anchor by buoyancy or gravity. (Default: ROPE) Valid options:
- NONE - the boat stays attached, expect strange behavior
- ROPE - the boat becomes unmoored
- BOAT - the boat is destroyed
- ANCHOR - the mooring point is destroyed, all boats attached to it become unmoored
- ALL - the boat and mooring point are both destroyed, all other boats attached to it become unmoored
Commands
None.
Permissions
None.
Savyj, thanks for the heads-up. I do in fact have 1.7 installed on my development system, and hadn't realized that was in error.
Would really like to see a finished version of this, it sounds great. I tried installing it but it looks like you built against JRE 1.7 and my system is all JRE 1.6 (as is Bukkit) so it won't load.
