I 'robbo5899' will be taking over this plugin as soon as ownership is transfered, It will soon be updated to the latest versions of minecraft. A 1.6 version will be first priority
FTBHelper is a tool I developed to help out with my Feed The Beast server. It contains many useful commands and features such as a ItemBan system,
some patches for FTB Unleashed and a bunch more. Commands & Permissions Configuration Banning an item:
FTBHelper includes a very useful permission basied itemban system to stop users from using certain items to grief. So far it does the following:
Stops players from crafting banned items
Stops a player from picking up banned items
Stops a player from dropping banned items
Stops a player from placing banned blocks
Stops a player from right/left clicking with banned items
Stops a player from moving banned items around between inventorys/within their own inventory
Stops a player from interacting with banned blocks
Deletes banned items on use (configurable)
Drops banned items on use (configurable)
Broadcasts a global message when someone has/uses/crafts a banned item (configurable)
I believe I have made this system as simple as possible to use by only having a single main permission: FTBHelper.ban.<itemid>.<dataValue>, for more customization with banned items see the Commands & Permissions page
If the selected item does not have a data value then set it to 0, likewise if it has lots of different data values for, say, damage on a tool then use * as the data value., see the Permissions and commands page for more in-depth info about the itemban system and its permissions.
Other features
Ability to toggle spawning of mobs (useful for dissabling custom spawners if one is causing lag)
Ability to halt a player in place (Im sure there will be some use for this)
Stop a player from logging in (like /ban but for temporary use if the player is in a bugged area or your rolling their profile back etc)
Autosave (can save the server every min to prevent unwanted rollbacks if the server crashes, configurable)
/banneditems command to display a list of all banned items
/IdFinder command to tell you the id of any clicked block
/poll to allow players to vote to take control of the time/weather
/vote command to display links to vote for the server
/findentities to locate the chunks with the most entities
AutoSaves to prevent rollback on server crash

Suggestions
I'm always looking to hear from the community, see what they think, if they have any suggestions etc. If you want to contact me quickly, me or one of my admin will most likely be on my FTB Unleashed server: FTB.Glass-Gaming.com This is also where I test the latest versions of FTBHelper. Alternatively semd me a message over skype (mike546378) and I will be happy to help out.
Source Code
Full source code is now available over at GitHub
Can you please add it so when you ban a item after it you can name the item so when people try to use it, it show's the item name so other people can see the name and item ID so they know. Thanks!
Thanks, I didn't think about changing it really lol. I went ahead and changed it so /vote from my GAListerner works now.
Edit: Seems that i removed the part in the file vote and it would issue other commands like findentities so test #2 will be just rename Vote: to Votes: and see if that will let me use the commands again. I on code in lua for a wow addon and the java is new to me.
Maybe an option to disable your /vote command as it overwrote our GAListener one. I wouldn't mind using yours but I am not a fan of the "clutter" feeling with the FTBHelper info being shown when they type /vote.
Fixed the typo.
Shouldn't be too hard to implement these, going to be doing a mass rework of a lot of the code today and tomorrow, will see what I can do. Definitely going to be continuing with the plugin, just not been an update in a while due to me being too busy to work on the code
Found an error on the permissions & Commands page towards the bottom. Also was wondering if there was an intent to be adding a new feature that I believe would jump the plugin even farther up the tree of mods. Also must say I love this plugin and do hope you continue with it. It is just amazing.
Error:
"FTBHelper.craftban.<itemId>.<DataValue>" The information on it is set to the clickban information.
New implementation
The ability to add banning of right or left clicking with an item. ex: FTBHelper.clickban.<left or right>.<itemId>.<DataValue>
Ability to change the interval between the auto saves via the config.
You should use the latest version, Just a typo that made it say 1.5.1 instead of 1.5.2. The mod currently does not support limiting the number of items a player can have, I do however plan on implementing this feature. If you take a look at the "Commands & Permissions" page you will see all nodes for banning items. To stop a player from placing/using an item while still allowing them to craft it just give them the FTBHelper.clickban.<id>.<datavalue> node.

@sigler
Just realised the last update (couple weeks ago) didn't go through... Will upload the update tomorrow, has some pretty big changes
@joseph96
Thanks again for the help and the making of this plugin.. I really look forward to using this plugin!
@sigler
Unzip the folder, and put the FTBHelper folder and the ftbhelper.jar into your plugins folder
Hello,
This plugin looks quite promising. Only problem I am having is it does not seem to be unpacking (not working) I am using FTB Unleashed 1.5.2
I dropped the .jar and folder into plugins. Any suggestions on getting this to work?
Thank you
Could you guys name a good Feed The Beast plugin? Thanks

@Repooc
Just remembered there is no need for me to add this. If you go into the jar and edit plugin.yml then you can remove it yourself :)
@ProsperCraft
the .* permission works :)
when using PEX is it possible to use FTBHelper.ban.3121.*
or do we need to add a node for each color of conveyer belt?
@Repooc
ok, will add that to the config

Update is delayed due to bukkit not liking the code I used for the update notifier.... Will rework the code then release asap
@ch0xy
New implementation has now been added along with other things. Just waiting on bukkit to approve the file now for FTBHelper v1.5
