LoreLocks
LoreLocks is a plugin which allows you to physically secure your chests with chest locks and traps.

Locks
Locks come in 6 difficulties, 1-5 change the cylinder count of the lock and the 6th difficulty makes the lock unpickable, or in other words only the person which has the key can open the lock.
To create a key of a lock simply drop a lockpick on it.
Depending on the difficulty locks have a different amount of cylinders
- Difficulty 1 has 3 cylinders
- Difficulty 2 has 4 cylinders
- Difficulty 3 has 5 cylinders
- Difficulty 4 has 6 cylinders
- Difficulty 5 has 7 cylinders
Then place it in the first slot of the chest (upper left slot) to lock the chest. Make sure to create a key by dropping a lockpick onto the lock before locking the chest if you want to avoid picking your own chest every time.
If you forget to create a key from an unpickable lock ask an admin for help, he can bypass the lock and open the chest for you.
Traps
Traps are items which will secure your chest even more, to add a trap to a chest place it in the second slot, right next to the lock.
They are triggered when a player fails to pick the chest, i.E. whenever he clicks the wrong cylinder and the lock gets reset.
Types of traps
The damage trap
Damage traps damage the player which is trying to pick the lock every time he fails to pick the right cylinder. Power determines the amount of hearts (not half hearts) which are taken away.
The explosive trap
Explosive traps create an explosion on the location of the player failing to pick the lock. The explosion does not damage any blocks. For the power of explosive traps check this wiki article.
The poison trap
Poison traps apply the poison potion effect to the player failing, the power attribute determines the level of the poison effect.
The power attribute ranges from 1-127.

I haven't checked it with the development builds yet as I'm working on the door implementation currently.
As I dont use any minecraft version specific imports it could work but I haven't tested it yet, so if you use it make sure you have backups of all configurations until I've updated it to 1.5
will this work for 1.5 or will i have to wait for the update?

I'm a developer of Saga plugin. I got some complaints telling me that Saga conflicts with LoreLocks.
I'm guessing you modify interact event. Do you have source available? Any idea why?

You need to differ the lock as an item and a lock level.
You can define as many locks in the configuration as you want, as long they range in lock level (difficulty) from 1-6.
The permissions are given for lock levels, not for single lock items.
So if you make two lock items, 'Simple Gold Lock', a lock with difficulty 1 and 'Simple Iron Lock', also a lock with difficulty 1, you would need the permission 'lorelocks.pick.1' to pick them.
For the upcoming door-feature: It will feature both types of doors, trapdoors are something I'll take in considereation.
Both doors would open when you unlocked them, so you can rightclick an irondoor, pick it and it would open just like a wooden door would.

Also, are we only allowed to have five lock-types? If not, the permissions on the 'lockpicking' page is a bit confusing, because it suggests we can only assign permissions for five lock-levels, and/or all locks.

You should add a skeleton key like the one in skyrim. you still have to do the lockpicking but it will open any chest and is unbreakable.
As soon as version 1.0.1.1 is approved you can configure the plugins messages to your needs.
Please check the configuration section to make sure you get no issues like empty messages :)

I haven't tested it with phatloots yet, but if there is a way to configure items with a specific name, lore and datavalue it should generally be possible.
There is still a small chance that chests are not accessed as I need them to be accessed, then I see currently no way to hook these two up :(
I'm working on an own chest loot plugin so for now I won't check for compatibility issues but later I'll definitly look into compatibility issues with other plugins ;)
