Achievements Reloaded
Achievements - made by Lolmewn
What does this plugin do?
This plugin allows you to add additional achievements to the game. This plugin requries my other plugin, Stats, to work.
Using this plugin, you can add achievements to the game, and add rewards to them. Whenever a player gets an achievement, you can let commands run, give them money and/or items, and much more using the API this plugin will have.
How do I install this?
Download the latest file from the files page and put it in your plugins folder.
Configuring the plugin
config.yml
There's nothing much to configure here yet. You can toggle whether or not it auto-updates, but that's about it.
achievements.yml
This is where you will store all your achievements. An achievement must have the following layout:
<id> name: YourAchievementName goals: - Stat <amount> <TOTAL or the variables belonging to this Stat> - another one?
The rest of the things is pretty self-explanatory. Once I have time, I will write down a good how-to-write achievements page.

These are the available Stats:

Want to use a Stat that uses variables? You have to specify either the variables or use 'TOTAL'.
Variables with StatTypes
Some Stats have variables. A good example is Block_break, it has the variables <blockId> <blockData> and <breaking>.
If you want to have a goal where a player must break 5 blue wool blocks, the goal would be
- Block_break 5 35 3 true
If the block has no special blockData (e.g. there's only one type of it), use 0 as blockData. Example:
- Block_break 20 1 0 true
This means break 20 stone blocks.
Examples for the other special Stats:
- Block_place 5 TOTAL - Move 1000 1 #move 1000 blocks with transport type 1 (boat) - Kill 10 Zombie - Death 3 Creeper
The format always is - Stat Amount Total|Variables|<empty>
Item Rewards
The way Item Rewards are written down is somewhat difficult. Basically, you should write it down as
items: <itemId>.<itemData>,<amount>;<itemId>.<itemData>,amount;... etc. items: 35.3,10;1,10 items: 1,20
Note that the itemData doesn't have to be specified
The itemID obvioulsy is the ID the item has (which you can find a full list of here), the itemData is also on that list, and the amount.. well, duhh.
The first example gives you 10 colored wool, and 10 stone. The second example gives you 20 stone.
Example achievements.yml
You can find an example right here. When writing new achievements, I suggest you grab this page and see what all the options do.
Commands and permissions
Command | Permission | Description |
---|---|---|
/ach | achievements.view.self | Check out your progress |
/ach player <player> | achievements.view.others | Check out someone elses progress |
/ach reload | achievements.reload | Saves all players and reloads all achievements |
/ach page <page> | achievements.view.self | Check out page <page> of your progress |
/ach <achievement> | Check out what the achievement is all about |
Development builds
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server.
These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk, they may or may not work at all.
Development builds for Stats can be found at my CI, over at http://ci.lolmewn.nl/job/Achievements/.

Metrics
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
If you wish to disable this feature (/me cries), you can do so by opt-ing out, which you can do in the config file under /plugins/PluginMetrics/
Auto-updater
This plugin has a built-in auto-updater, which connects to BukkitDev to check for updates. If you, for some reason, wish to disable this process, you can do so by setting 'update' to false in the plugins' settings file.
IRC Support
You can find me (and possibly, when I'm around, support) in my IRC channel #Lolmewn on irc.esper.net - See you there!
@mike1360
Known bug, working on it.
Items are not being provided to players that complete the achievements? http://pastebin.com/1wU03F8k
@mmuziek
Yep! Also, lots of code shifting to make it way more easy to configure.
is there a explanation coming for all the nodes not just 4. because with move you gave the variable 1 but not telling us what it is. same counts for some other nodes i dont know what the variables are so how can i enter it
@Forerunner343i
I'm currently rewriting most of the plugin because the old one was a mess, designed specifically for Stats. The new version will only depend on Stats for it's database connection, but that's it. Other plugins can hook into it, and I can add much more variables this way. The Stats update to make part of this happen is currently in Alpha (and available on BukkitDev), so now I can start with making Achievements compatible again ;)
Hey.
I think that the Achievements "how to" would be something useful, so I'm volunteering myself to write down the differemt challenges/variables uses, if you are interested.
By the way, let's just give some ideas to add useful things : add variables to the changeworld (nether, ender, custom world ?) And why not the "furnace cooking (or heating) for stone, coal, minerals; item crafting (diamond axe, golden pickaxe...)
@mmuziek
No, not yet. I first have to fix up Stats (which I totally broke), and then fix up Achievements accordingly. Should be around... a week, maybe two.
do you know an estimate when its gonna come ?
@mmuziek
I know, there's a bug with item rewards. Fix coming up soon. To reset your achievements, stop the server and delete the player file. Commands are also underway.
well the plugin as far as i tested it is not working completely. it does not give the items as a reward. it does give the money i did not test the commands out yet here is an example of the achievement wich must give leather boots but it doesnt :S
and by the way how do you reset the achievements. because i need to test this again. and removing the player files doesnt do anything but replacing it with the same data :S
@Lolmewn
Ok, then it's only the same bug as mike 1360, whivh means that the command /achievements doesn"'t give any result, and /help achievements just says type /achievements...
Thanks
@Forerunner343i
Versions really don't matter with this plugin, as it does not make any NMS/OBC calls. Works fine for 1.6.2.
@Lolmewn
@mike1360: Go
I'm not sure if I actually implemented the command yet... I probably should do that.
I'm gettigng the same issue, I guessed it was because I'm running Bukkit 1.6.2. Maybe the same for mike1360
Nice plugin, exactly what I was looking for to replace the built-in*IslandBlock(SkyBlock Replacement) Challenges plugin. Which has to be used manually by players any time someone wants to check if a challenge is over... Also brings much more abilites, so a great thank you... just sad it's not (yet) for 1.6.2. Hopefully soon
[I'll open a ticket to get the Enchant achievement in the next version or the following...]
Hello, could someone help me with this error i got in console? http://pastebin.com/9uk2pV6K
EDIT: Sorry the top section in the pastebin is about the stats achievements. The second paragraph seems to just be about the regular Stats plugin.
@kjburr
A really, really, really weird bug in either Stats or Achievements that causes some event to fire and update a stat while the actual player isn't even online.
I also don't know, haha
@TVExtrem
Soon, once I make it more easy to configure and even more configurable.
Can i also add an achievements with "KILL TVXTREM ARROWS" that you have to kill the player tvxtrem with an arrow to complete?
I keep getting this error after someone leaves the game. Could you shed some light for me on what this is? Thanks in advance!

@Lolmewn
Done
