LazyRoad In Game Designer
LazyRoad In-Game Designer (LRIGD)
A plugin that allows you to build a section of a road in-game and save it for use with LazyRoad later on.
Please Report Bugs If you don't want to use my issue tracker at least give me the Bukkit version, LRIGD version, and the error from the console(post using <<code>>Error<</code>>
).
Download latest release. Also pay attention to the requirements below.
Requirements
How to save a road
Main Road
- Make a road in game that you want to save
- If you want to not set blocks to air set a /setkeepid <BlockId> and put that where you want the value saved.
- I like sponge(19) for this.
- Use WorldEdit's selection wand to select your road, make sure you have everything selected.
- Setting Position Requirements:
- Look in the Direction the road is going. AKA stand at the beginning of the road and look down it.
- Make sure you are standing on the same level that you'd be placing the road at. AKA the ground level.
- Finally run the /setroad command. A message with the road's info should show up.
- You can test the road with /testroad and stop the test with /teststop.
Main Road's Stairs
- Once a road has been set make one section of what you want the stairs to be for your road.
- Select it with WorldEdit.
- Using the same Setting Position Requirements that the road needed run /setstairs
- Lastly set /setgrade <number> to something higher then 0.
- For stairs set to 1.
- For slabs set to 2.
- Or what ever you like. What it is, is the setting when the next time stairs can be built.
- You can test the road with /testroad and stop the test with /teststop.
Saving
- Once you're satisfied that the road is to your liking run /saveroad <name>
- <name> is what you want the road to be saved as like Simple3
- The name cannot have spaces in it.
That's it you can now use LazyRoad to build your new road.
Sorry for no voice in the videos. If someone want's to make an awesome tutorial I'll put it up here!
Road/Pillar Sharing
Hi guys I made a subforum for sharing your roads and pillars with everone.
Commands
- /lrdhelp [topic] : Every command is a topic now. [topic] is optional.
- /setroad : Sets the road you have in your selection.
- /setstairs : If a road has been set, sets a new selection as the road's stairs.
- /setgrade <number> : Default is 0. If you set stairs you'll want to make this at least 1. 2 if you're using slabs for steps.
- /setkeepid <blockID> : Set this to a block Id you want the road to not set to air. The road has to be set again.
- /roadinfo : Prints out the current info on the set road.
- /testroad : Saves the road as temp.ser and triggers the /road reload and /road temp commands
- /teststop : Triggers the /road stop and /road undo commands
- /saveroad <name> : When satisfied with your road lets you save it to a name of your liking. No spaces allowed in the name.
Version 0.3.x
- /setpillar : Sets the pillar you have in your selection.
- /testpillar [road name] : Allows you to test your pillar before saving it. 'road name' is a saved LR road name, otherwise it uses your currently set road as the road.
- /savepillar : Saves the pillar to the LazyRoad's pillars folder and reloads LazyRoad.
- /pillarinfo : Prints out the current info on the set pillar.
Permissions
This plugin supports only Bukkit built-in Permissions, so BukkitPermissions, bPermissions, PermissionsEx, ... No Permissions 2.x/3.x or GroupManager.
- lrd.design : Default op
This does not work on 1.10.2 anymore. As it's GPL'ed, could you please point out, where we could find the source code?!
Could someone update this ?
or am i the only one, which is using this / wants to use this ?
@ktskagrith
You need the Worldedit CUI for that: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/885099-mc-146-we-54-cui-gui-visualizer-for-worldedit-v146/
It still works for 1.6.2!
@ktskagrith
I thought it'd be nice to tell you what it is even though I don't play Minecraft anymore.
It's World Edit's Client Side Mod that adds the selection overlay.
I'm not updating this anymore because I've lost all interest in Minecraft.
Sorry, VeraLapsa
Hey, maybe i am missing something but does anyone know how he got the color grid that showed his selection in the first video?
@VeraLapsa
You know, I have used LR to make walls of a castle since LR came out. I have told my friends how nice it would be to have an ingame designer... and voila! Checking updates and seen the new LRIGD!
Thank you for all your work :)
Edit:
No noooo can't savenull org.bukkit.command.CommandException: Unhandled exception executing command 'save road' in plugin LazyRoadInGameDesigner v0.3.3Edit2: I forgot to put a name when I saved, it works :P
Awesome Plugin!!!
You should add the ability to set corners. I was going to use this for making long walls...
@x8105
Yup no problem. I had idea's of stuff I wanted in LazyRoad a long time ago before I became a programmer for it, and a in game designer wasn't one of them. It was a spark idea that happened when I picked up where Adreide stopped.
And It only took me about 1 work day of programming to get LRIGD to where it is now.
These 2 plugins LR and LRIGD are so much more powerful than a simple Road and tunneling system, WOW you sparked my epic creative genius! TY. I am using it as a full on epic dungeon builder, Combine this with Macro keys, each "Road/Tunnel" is a different segment called with a single keystroke, making HUGE mazes and epic quests, has never been easier. TY TY TY TY!
@1996BRECHT
All you have to do to make a tunnel is make a road with with walls and a roof, then select it and run the /setroad command. Tunnels and roads use the same file them.
Take a look here for a better tutorial on this.
Can you pleas add sometthing to create ingame tunnels ? whe use it for our metro-system, thanks !
Thanks for the sub forum for sharing. I hope some more ppl will share what they have created. I will submit some of my own when I can.
When version 0.3.3 comes out it'll fix the bug where you can't set roads in the south direction. ver. 0.3.3
I just uploaded a new version of LRIGD it should show up sometime tonight.
Version: 0.3.1 Fixed major bug where you couldn't save a pillar without a road being set which allowed for major errors.
Version: 0.3.0
I'm going to make a quick video on how to make both roads and pillars. I'll try to have that up by tonight.
nvm 4char
