Item Lore Stats
Thanks to BrightDanny for the logo.
Add functioning stats to your items to allow players to increase their player stats. Any gear/weapons that contain the correct lore that the plugin can detect (list below) will affect the wearer/wielder. ItemLoreStats helps you create an epic RPG experience. Will add more stats/options based on requests.
Description
This is the Item Lore Stats plugin you can add to your server to get players farming/trading/looting gear to get the perfect stats for their character. Item Lore Stats offers random and unique loot tables for all of the default mobs and custom mobs. WorldGuard 6+ is required for WorldGuard support. Vault is required for currency support.
I will continue to support this and add many more features. If you have any suggestions please let me know through a ticket.
Installation and configuration
Place the ItemLoreStats.jar into your plugins directory. Then all you need to do is run your server.
Commands
/ils | Show a list of available commands. |
/ils version | Show the version of Item Lore Stats that's running. |
/ils reload | Reload the Item Lore Stats config. |
/ils stats | Will display the total stats of your armour and item in your hand. |

All of the mobs health and damage will be scaled by their distance from the location that you type this command. The health is calculated using (distance(when spawned) x multiplier) + base health = new health. The damage is calculated using (distance x multiplier) = new damage. Mobs will also receive a level based on the distance they are from the location that the command is entered. By default a mobs level will increase every 10 blocks but this can be changed by using the command below. |
/ils blocksPerLevel <number> | ILS will increase the mobs level every X blocks from wherever the /ils setMultiplier command was entered. |
/ils lore <player_name> <line#> <text> | Adds or sets the lore line to the item currently in the players main hand. If you don't include a <player_name> it will apply it to your own item in your main hand. <player_name> must be online. |

Permissions
Negate these to restrict ops.
- ils.admin
description: Required for the /ils createlore, /ils name, /ils setMultiplier and /ils lore commands.
default: op - ils.use.<Class_Name>
description: This allows gear to be restricted to specific classes or groups that have the required permission. If an item contains the lore Class: Mage then that player would need the ils.use.Mage permission.
default: op
- ils.commandlist

Recommended plugins
These are some plugins I recommend using with Item Lore Stats;
- BarAPI
This will allow the players health to be displayed visually as the boss bar like shown in the video here.
- AttributeHider
This will hide default attributes such as "+X attack damage" from swords.
- ProtocolLib
Adds extra support to ItemLoreStats. Creating a smoother, more enjoyable experience for the players.

Metrics
As of v1.759 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server www.mcstats.org/. You can disable it by setting "opt-out" to true in \plugins\PluginMetrics\config.yml.
Auto-checking for updates
As of v2.18 this plugin will check for updates using Curse's ServerMods API. It always checks the current version with the version on BukkitDev and will notify ops or any players/groups with the ils.admin permission that there is an update available. It will never automatically download an update without the user typing /ils update. All of the updates are downloaded from BukkitDev. These checks can be disabled in the config.yml by setting checkForUpdates to false.

I've just fixed the issue with the vanilla damage. I'm not sure how the Dragon Breath works as my server is on 1.8 so I need to look into it more.
I just disabled the code that included the off hand damage as I wanted to get the update out asap but I'll add an option to toggle it in the next update.
Hmm, the damage all seems fine when I use the vanilla includedamage: false.
However all the tools are working with ILS.
So it doesn't matter which tools are in the config, they all deal 0 damage (with or without stats on them).
For example, I don't have the Diamond Sword in the config because I don't want to ever use that but when the includedamage is false then a Diamond Sword will always deal 0 damage.
Before the items would only be affected by ILS if they had stats on them but now all items seem to be affected, with or without stats and in the config or not.
Another weird thing is that when I don't have the Diamond Sword in the config and I add: Damage: 3-3 it will deal 3 Damage but in /ils stats it doesn't count it and says 0-0 damage.
Two kinds of problems I guess, ILS is affecting tools that don't have lore and ILS is working on items not specified in the config.
Thanks for all the work though, this plugin is really adding an extra element to the game :D
Just fixed the issue.
If the item is not in the tool list then it should deal 1 damage. If it's not in the tools list then it will show 0 damage which is intentional.
Alright sounds good.
Do you think you can also make it so ILS removes the base damage only from items with stats on them?
So a normal iron axe will deal 9 damage but one that has a custom name or any lore on it will deal 0 damage + whatever damage is specified in the lore?
And then ofcourse ILS doesn't even bother checking/changing those that aren't in the config list.
Right now any tool, whether it has stats or not, is affected by "includedamage: false"
I have a very serious issue here.
When a player places the weapon with damage stat in the offhand and then hits an enemy with the empty main hand, the item in the offhand duplicates into the main hand.
Also the damage in the main hand and in the offhand stacks, even though you only use one weapon. Is there a way to disable that?
I can attest to this, however it only did it to me when I had a bow in the offhand and a sword/axe in the main hand. When I hit something with the sword/axe the bow duplicated over and removed the Sword/axe.
Will release the update tonight to fix it.
Will release the update tonight to fix it. I'll add an option to toggle it as well.
I am having a serious issue where if you scroll in hotbar you lose health depening on XP Level, also the more xp the more health gets taken from you when scrolling in hotbar, and the more XP you have the faster you run
Are you holding an item with + Health when scrolling? If you are that's because stats are not permanent . If not, then what server version are you on and what version of ILS are you on?
nope, version is 1.11 on ILS version 7.15
You will run faster and lose more health with the more XP you have as there is an upgrade system. When you level up some of your stats increase such as health and speed.
I've just tested it on 1.11 and I can't recreate the issue you're having. The only thing I can think of is that you're probably scrolling over an item that has Health on it so it's increasing your max health and then when you scroll over it your max health decreases.
I don't, can you add a feature to disable that upgrade system please
Go into the config, find upgradeStatsOnLevelChange and change enabled to false.
I think that got fixed now, but can you just add a way to disable the health feature, so that it doesn't affect anything
I have a serious trouble with this plugin, it's COMPLETLY broken on my server.
I'm using craftbukkit 1.10, no error logs appear.
It loads normally but there are no changes in player stats when I check /ils stats while wearing the items, the only thing that changes is damage and health.
Health however is not working, I still have the same amount of hp after wearing an item.
Some stats like ignition work fine, they just don't appear in the stats log.
It's completely useless tho if HP stat is not working and most of the other effects are bugged.
Am I missing something? This plugin is crucial to my server and I'd like it to work, but nothing I've tried seems to be working.
Type /ils createlore and equip that armour and see if your health increases.
As I was saying, nothing happens.
I'm using barAPI and it shows my health, it stays on 20/20 when i equip the items with ils stats on them, and yes, I used the items from /ils createlore.
With the gear equipped type /ils stats and check your health there. Still 20/20?
/ils stats shows me that I have, for example, 100 health if I equip an item which adds 80 hp, yeah, /ils stats shows me that I have 100 hp.
But the problem is that I don't really have 100 hp, but still just 20.
I equip the item, it shows that I have 100 hp, someone hits me EXACTLY for 20 dmg, I die.
No additional hearts show up when I equip any item which adds hp, health scale in the config file is 20.
BarAPI hp doesn't change when I equip any of the /ils createlore items, nor does any other stat from /ils stats except for damage.
No error log appears when I try using any of the plugin features.
I've tried this on spigot 1.10, 1.10.2 and craftbukkit 1.10, 1.10.2, same result everytime.
Cannot explain this any clearer.
It works quite good on older versions tho.
