Item Lore Stats
Thanks to BrightDanny for the logo.
Add functioning stats to your items to allow players to increase their player stats. Any gear/weapons that contain the correct lore that the plugin can detect (list below) will affect the wearer/wielder. ItemLoreStats helps you create an epic RPG experience. Will add more stats/options based on requests.
Description
This is the Item Lore Stats plugin you can add to your server to get players farming/trading/looting gear to get the perfect stats for their character. Item Lore Stats offers random and unique loot tables for all of the default mobs and custom mobs. WorldGuard 6+ is required for WorldGuard support. Vault is required for currency support.
I will continue to support this and add many more features. If you have any suggestions please let me know through a ticket.
Installation and configuration
Place the ItemLoreStats.jar into your plugins directory. Then all you need to do is run your server.
Commands
/ils | Show a list of available commands. |
/ils version | Show the version of Item Lore Stats that's running. |
/ils reload | Reload the Item Lore Stats config. |
/ils stats | Will display the total stats of your armour and item in your hand. |
/ils createlore | Creates a set of gear with lore to test the plugin. |

/ils name <text> | Sets the name of the item currently in your main hand. Supports all text formatting. |
/ils setMultiplier |
All of the mobs health and damage will be scaled by their distance from the location that you type this command. The health is calculated using (distance(when spawned) x multiplier) + base health = new health. The damage is calculated using (distance x multiplier) = new damage. Mobs will also receive a level based on the distance they are from the location that the command is entered. By default a mobs level will increase every 10 blocks but this can be changed by using the command below. |
/ils blocksPerLevel <number> | ILS will increase the mobs level every X blocks from wherever the /ils setMultiplier command was entered. |
/ils lore <player_name> <line#> <text> | Adds or sets the lore line to the item currently in the players main hand. If you don't include a <player_name> it will apply it to your own item in your main hand. <player_name> must be online. |
/ils give <player_name> <item_name> | This will generate an item from the specified file name (plugins/ItemLoreStats/SavedItems/<item_name>) and give it to the specified player (more info on the config here). The item can be given to a player with a different name with /ils give <player_name> <item_name>, <new_item_name>. |
/ils export <item_name> | This will export the item in your main hand to a file (plugins/ItemLoreStats/SavedItems/<item_name>) with the specified name so that it can be imported at a later date (more info on the config here). |
/ils upgrade hand | This will upgrade the item you're currently holding in your main hand. Item requires Level Lore to upgrade. |
/ils upgrade armour | This will upgrade the armour you're currently wearing. Items require Level Lore to upgrade. |
/ils upgrade all | This will upgrade the item you're holding in your main hand and armour you're currently wearing. Items require Level Lore to upgrade. |

Permissions
Negate these to restrict ops.
- ils.admin
description: Required for the /ils createlore, /ils name, /ils setMultiplier and /ils lore commands.
default: op - ils.use.<Class_Name>
description: This allows gear to be restricted to specific classes or groups that have the required permission. If an item contains the lore Class: Mage then that player would need the ils.use.Mage permission.
default: op
- ils.commandlist
description: This allows the player to see the ILS command list.

Recommended plugins
These are some plugins I recommend using with Item Lore Stats;
- BarAPI
This will allow the players health to be displayed visually as the boss bar like shown in the video here.
- AttributeHider
This will hide default attributes such as "+X attack damage" from swords.
- ProtocolLib
Adds extra support to ItemLoreStats. Creating a smoother, more enjoyable experience for the players.

Metrics
As of v1.759 this plugin sends statistics about the usage to the server www.mcstats.org/. You can disable it by setting "opt-out" to true in \plugins\PluginMetrics\config.yml.
Auto-checking for updates
As of v2.18 this plugin will check for updates using Curse's ServerMods API. It always checks the current version with the version on BukkitDev and will notify ops or any players/groups with the ils.admin permission that there is an update available. It will never automatically download an update without the user typing /ils update. All of the updates are downloaded from BukkitDev. These checks can be disabled in the config.yml by setting checkForUpdates to false.

Try restarting the server then getting hit.
@Supavitax
No , I don't get any error in console , also in game.
@el411961
Are there any errors in the console when you get hit?

Hello! After my testings, hopefully I can help. For the damage, what command are you typing? If using default config, this is the exact command, simply replace the lore line with whatever lore line you want, and 20 with your number for damage. The + symbol is absolutely necessary, as is the Damage: part. It must be exact
/ils lore 1 &a&oDamage: +20
On the total attributes, there currently isn't anything ingame that says that, but that is a neat suggestion. Maybe a command that can be typed ingame that gives you total stats? Would love to see that added too.
For the third thing, I tested it out and was able to get it to export the item, but when I gave it back to myself, it didn't have the custom lore text (this is a sword).
Perhaps a new stat labled purely "Lore: <text>"? Changing nothing but allowing real lore text. Hope that can be added too.
@Supavitax
Would be amazing, but only if it doesn't take away from what you intend this plugin to be. While it suits my needs quite nicely, don't necessarily know if it fits others. Completely up to you, just excited to get to use this plugin
@Celeress
I agree, wish the function will be added in the future version :P
Thanks !
@LordVerlion
I can add that in the next update if you want. Would be pretty simple to add and configurable in the config.
@Celeress
Really like that idea about the further away from spawn plugin. That actually sounds ideal to go with this plugin. If you happen to remember name, feel free to PM me. I'll definitely keep my eye out for it.
I figured I'd probably need another plugin to change their health, was just hoping to keep it all confined into one place. I plan to use these items mostly to complement EpicBoss's and Citizen NPC's, which have customizable damage and health. Just need to make the vanilla mobs slightly healthier to stand up to it. But, that's not this plugins job ;)
Thanks again for all your hard work, Supavitax!
@LordVerlion
Unless configurable mob stats is planned to come out sometime in the future, I would just use another plugin to change them. I use MegaCreeps to change how strong mobs are. Otherwise there was 1 plugin I saw before that makes mobs stronger the farther away from spawn you are. That could help so new players aren't dealing with incredibly strong mobs and the more experienced players will actually have to try to kill vanilla mobs.
@Supavitax
thank you very much, I'll try tomorrow. it is late night here =D
@el411961
I've fixed that bug in the next update. By the looks of it you need to change the name of the weapon. At the moment it doesn't have a custom name so when you're trying to export it, it's failing because the name is being returned as null.
So just change the name of the weapon and it should export without any problems.
@Supavitax Oh sorry , I see.I follow the step but I still get error when export the weapon , this is the error log.

@el411961
By default, in the config you will have a setting "tooltipFormatting: GreenItalic" this means that the command must also include that formatting so your command would be:
/ils lore 1 &a&oDamage: +10
/ils lore 2 &a&oHealth: +10
&a = Green
&o = Italic
@Supavitax Thanks for fast reply. Q1: This is picture about my weapon lore → give export weapon back to me http://i.imgur.com/JmDrD4x.png
Q2: The health doesn't go lower when player get attacked.
This is my server information http://i.imgur.com/ZTRKbwG.png
@el411961
What do you mean by "the player's health won't reduce"? When they get attacked their health doesn't go lower? or when you remove the plugin there is a lot of hearts? Type /plugins to see if the plugin is running.
hi ! I test the plugin and notice that the player's health won't reduce , nothing error information appear in game or on server console. I only install this plugin for testing purpose because I notice the health issue. ( Item Lore Stats v1.015 )
@AlexSmith49
I'll add Poison in the next update and I'll have a look into adding something like the Loot stat. The other idea you had was something I had planned for the next update as long as everything with the mob drops was working as intended in v1.01.
@LordVerlion
It's difficult to find the perfect balance for the mobs health. Either it's too high for new players or its too low for players that have been there for a while.
This plugin definitely deserves more attention...
Love how the dev is always adding new stuff and listening to ideas (not necesarily implementing em but still.)
Here's a list of stat ideas for the future if you want any: Poison: self explanatory Xmas: Holiday cheer! A firework explosion of red green and white. Loot %: Chance to loot an item from a mob.
One final idea: recognizing mobs by their shown name. So if I had a zombie named Bob then in config Bob had a drop file, Bob would drop the right items instead of from his base mob (zombie, blaze etc)
Thank you for your effort ;)
@Supavitax
Heyo! I have posted a ticket with a couple bugs I've been noticing. Thanks for all your hard work too!
I've been playing around with this plugin for the last few hours, and loving it so much. Once it gets fully kinked out, I can see this being a top 5 RPG plugin. Will probably be the most used plugin on my server. With just about every Quest, EpicBoss, and regular mobs that might drop these items. Very easy to make them too.
Hope to see more and get the last couple bugs fixed out and more updates to come!
P.S. : I noticed that you only raised NPC damage with the config. In my tests, I've noticed I'm easily capable of 1-shotting almost all generic mobs with about 20 or 30 damage. While I will be using Citizen NPCs and EpicBoss mobs for the majority of my server, I'd still like some vanilla mob presence. If they can be 1-shotted, they're a bit pointless. Was hoping you might consider beefing their health as well. Once again, thanks
