Horse Enchantments
Horse Enchantments
Why horse enchantments
The only thing horse armors can do is preventing damage from direct hits to the horse and between the varies different tiers of horse armors, the damage that gets prevented isn't that great.
Average damage dealt with 1 empty-handed punch:
Armor | Damage |
---|---|
diamond | 0.56 |
gold | 0.72 |
iron | 0.80 |
none | 1.00 |
With this modification I want to add more unique and fun aspects to horse armors through enchantments.
All enchantments
Regeneration I II III
Everytime a horse regenerates health, it will increase by 1 * (the level of the enchantment). When the horse is wearing a piece of armor with Regeneration III, it will randomly regenerate the health of the player who is riding the horse with 1 full heart.
Resurrection I
Whenever a horse dies while wearing a piece of armor with the Resurrection enchantment it will revive the horse instantly and the enchantment will be removed from the armor. The Resurrection enchantment has an 1 in 4 chance of reviving the horse into either an undead or a skeletal horse.
Swimming I II III
Upon entering atleast a 4 wide by 3 blocks deep pool of water, the horse will be able to swim in(rather walk on) water. The higher the level of enchantment, the faster the horse moves in water. When you give a horse a potion of fire resistance, the horse will be able to swim in lava. Be carefull of the expiretime of the potion effect!
Flying I II III (currently developing)
When the horse jumps of a ledge with atleast 3 blocks of air beneath the horse, it will activate the flying mechanics. A slight benefit to horses whose jumpheight is more or equal to 3 blocks. The flight is controlled with the direction the rider is facing. Face up to ascend and down to descend. The higher the level of enchantment, the faster the horse moves in the air.
