HOLOPopups - Custom Holograms and Rewards PvP and PvE
Great video with all the current features by IngrownPenguin (VariationVault). You should subscribe!
WELCOME TO HOLOPOPUP!
HOLOPopup is a very lightweight (a little under 200 lines!) plugin that utilizes horse nametags to create floating holograms. It uses no dependencies to create nametags, and is totally lag-free! You do, though, need Vault if you would like to use economy support.
WHAT'S IT DO?
This plugin allows you to set a custom message to pop up when a player kills a mob or another player, with multi lines, variables, and colors. The config file is very simple to use, with commented step-by-step configuration.
This plugin includes economy integration, and you can set mob/player rewards on kill for each mob/player. You can disable this by setting Reward: to 0!
METRICS
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
Metrics help me as a developer continue to add support for the versions my users are running and help me gague the use of the plugin.
CONFIG/MOB SUPPORT
Visit the config page for more info on that!
New features are coming soon, if you have any ideas for this plugin, please comment below!
There are no commands or special permissions, although I may add permission support in the coming future.
Based on @Ultimate_n00b's Holograms library.
WAIT! Before you post an error, try some quick debugging solutions:
- UPDATE to the latest CB or Spigot version
- Reset config if you are updating from one version to another
If none of this works, paste the error here http://dev.bukkit.org/paste/ and I will try to fix the issue asap.

Uploaded a fix with support for you guys. Enjoy! Tell me if you find any new errors!
Just uploaded a fix for Spigot/some CB builds that were causing errors. If you have errors, use the new version. If not, stick to the old one!
When you were level up. You will see a holo display to remind you.
@Everyone Next version will have Spigot support, and command support (so you can run commands on each of the different mob kills!).
Thanks for over 500 downloads! :D
Please make a fix for spigot it would be awesome :D
I seen other related plugin. They using some techniques to modify the data packets to improve performance. Can you do that or now using this way?
@z65703071
^Correct . It should still work on spigot despite some errors, and it could very well be another plugin causing conflicts ( I did some testing of my own and it worked for me despite some log errors)
@Mati0703
I understand lots of servers use spigot, but a plugin made for Bukkit probably won't work as well on a fork of Bukkit like spigot. It would be a different story if I posted thus on spigots site instead of Bukkit. And, as I also said, I will work on a fix for spigot.
@ccrama
90% of servers are running spigot.
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
Maybe that error message just from your other plugin to conflicting this plugin because I was using Spigot for my server and normal to ran this plugin which just had some little bug.
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
I'm coding this plugin for Bukkit, and there are some glitches in spigot's code that don't allow my plugin to work correctly. I might make a version for spigot soon, but no promises.
@ccrama
Spigot btw is Bukkit but Optimized, there should not be a issue
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
You are (according to your log) running an unsupported Spigot build. I don't test on Spigot, so some issues may arise. Try updating your version, maybe? Other than that, you're out of luck (unless you use Bukkit!)

still, it does not work in 1.7.5, trust me, i tested
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
Thats a known bug, but shouldn't affect gameplay/plugins at all. It looks nasty but its a small error. Will release a fix tonight or tomorrow!
then how come i get this: http://pastebin.com/vyxXJ6Pa
@xH3LLRAIZ3Rx
It is 1.7.5, but bukkit doesn't have the option to list it as 1.7.5 yet... Should work with all versions though!
Please Update to 1.7.5
@z65703071
No problem. I will work on the bug! Thanks for reporting it
@ccrama
Sorry! Such a long time.
