HeatSeekers

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Flagged as inactive since I won't be developing any more updates for it. It works just fine for minecraft 1.6.2 and below and will probably work for any future minecraft version.

Another one of my "I'm bored, let's see what I can do" plugins. It makes arrows a bit "smarter" and turns them into homing "missiles".

When you fire an arrow (or any other projectile if it is enabled in the config) the arrow (or projectile) will find a random animal or player withing a radius of 15 blocks. When it does, it locks on to it until it hits the ground or the target.

If it can't find a target at first, it will continue to work as a regular arrow (or projectile) until it finds one and locks on.

Configuration

What the stuff in the config-file means:

  • all-projectiles - If this is set to true, all projectiles will become "smart". WARNING! This will allow players to fire "smart"-arrows with a regular bow.
  • auto-update - If this is set to true it will automatically download and update itself if it finds a newer version on dev.bukkit.org.
  • op-only - If set to true only OP's will be able to use this plugin.
  • craftingpermission - Enable or disable permissioncheck when crafting.
  • smart-percentage - Defines how often a projectile should be "smart". A value of 100 means they are always smart.

Permissions

  • heatseekers.craft - Allows a player to craft the weapon if craftingpermission is enabled in the config.
  • heatseekers.block - Blocks a player from being able to use this plugin.
