Hard Core Worlds
Hard Core Worlds
Description
This plugin brings something like Hardcore mode to select worlds on your server. Single player Hardcore mode is simulated by these things: Hunger will eventually kill you. Mob Damage is adjusted (by default) to hard difficulty damage, but this is customizable. You/others are banned from chosen worlds after dying in them.
Features
- Optional Server Lives you must have the appropriate permissions if you wish to be banned from the server
- Optional Lives
- Hunger can now bring you down to 0 health (via virtual hunger)
- Mob damage is changed for selected worlds. By default set to the hard difficulty, (Skeletons do 3 hearts, Zombies 3.5 etc.)
- Custom difficulties
- Hardcore worlds ban players upon death
- Can use permissions to ignore bans
- Permissions regulated commands to control banning

If you feel compelled for some reason, to give me money, here is the link :)
The unban command doesn't work. On the command page the syntax is listed as this:
/hcw unban playername world
If this command is used, it does not unban the player from the world specified in the arguments for the command. Instead it tries to unban the player from the world they are currently in.
Obviously this does not work as the player that needs to be unbanned can't be in the world they are banned from.
Other than that it seems to be a fairly decent plugin.

@Conderan
As I said to indigomontoya on the command-list page, commenting on pages other than this one usually won't get my attention because I don't get notified about in my subscription list. I do apologize then for the long delay. The answers to your questions are: it's in hours (but it can be decimal now, with precision limit of 1 minute. e.g. 48.531 would result in a ban of 2 days 12 hours and 32 minutes.) The bans listed in server section ban you from the server. The bans listed in the world section ban you from the world. :) Enjoy.
(I'll change that to a precision limit of seconds, in retrospect a minute is too course, and makes no sense. So 48.531 in the next release(today) will be now just about 2 days, 12 hours, 31 minutes and 52 seconds because bans always round up)
I'd made a comment on the config page months ago and i've never gotten a reply...
@Cayviel
I don't see that section in the config.yml, where do I write that line in?
EDIT: Nevermind, found it in ban.yml
@dorrax
I have an idea, in the config file, there is a section, "unbannable World: <world name>" Change it to the world you want them to go to when they die in hardcore.
I'm having an issue where players are sent to a world called world (that shouldn't exist) when they die on the hardcore map. I saw this before and I forgot how i fixed it. Any idea what's going wrong?
I am using Multiverse and Multiverse-Inventories and do not have this problem. I am using the latest development builds of Multiverse.
@quickclay
I do not understand. Worlds are, by default, not hardcore, and must be listed as hardcore if you want hardcore functionality. I am all about making the interface easier, I understand that it is overly complex and desire a way to simplify it, if perhaps you can explain more specifically, with an example, of what you mean, I would appreciate it.
@MarkehMe
This mod has been tested with both of these mods, and compatibility* has been confirmed, unless something else broke in the most recent update. There used to be a bug causing inventories to become invisible, until the item was clicked on. Please make sure the priorities listed in config remain at their default values (these were chosen for this very purpose)
Can anyone else confirm/replicate this bug?
This doesn't work very well with MultiVerse and MultiInv! The inventories of the world they are teleported to, are lost.
Rather than listing worlds that are not hardcore, how about letting us list worlds that we want to be hardcore? This will allow easier integration with existing servers.
Anyways, going to test it out. Thanks!
@debboXD
You must have the permissions.jar that used to be packaged with permissionsEX.jar
But i think it dont work on my server D:
GREAT! :D
@elitefroggy
Sorry, but I am not interested in incorporating that into this plugin. If you do find such a plugin, let me know. I suspect there will be a small compatibility issue that will be easy to fix, but until such a plugin is found, I won't know.
I've always liked the idea of 1 hit kills, but parrying with your swords block all damage, any way to add this? or point me to another plugin?
Okay! I'll update. I just tested with the latest beta build, and all is well as long as the permissions is updated. I will update it now, and then its just a matter of them approving the upload.
Please Update.
Yes please update! I don't mind using dev builds either. My users are having way too much fun in my hardcore world without being banned now when they die! :(
Please update, would be a great plugin to have ;)
